The mental image of a group of clones who were using an ion engine vehicle to travel on a jungle planet having to, with great confusion, stop to shoo away large beasts who mistook the sounds it made for their species mating call is just priceless for some reason. I wonder how long it took for them to get answers as to why these random, large animals just keep popping up seemingly expecting something else, and how that answer musta felt once they figured it out. Not to mention how it musta felt for the clone in charge of briefing the troops in their usual no-nonsense tone to explain why the animals keep showing up to harass their ground vehicles.

I like to think that in all the different comics and such where the heroes end up in a jungle and absolutely everything is constantly attacking them, this is the reason. I imagine the Clones were like Clone 1 "not another jungle planet, ugh, everything constantly attacking us and spraying acid everywhere" Jedi: "Wildlife is not such a thing to dread. Remain strong and do not allow fear to become you, and even large predators will normally leave you be." Clone 1 "It's not the fighting, we're built for that. It's that it happens eight times a day." Jedi "Um. That's not normal." Clone 2 "Sir, I had to fight off another. I hate this slime they spray, glad our armor is chemical resistant. I'd hate to find out how much this acid would burn on skin." Jedi "... It wouldn't burn." Clone 2 "Whaddya mean?" Jedi "That's not acid."

So for once, the Empire actually made the technologically right move by keeping the Swamp Speeders around. Sadly, the money wasted on Death Star instead of the TIE-Defender program is still a big waste.

1000% underrated and would have been super effective on Umbara for sure. The design is really cool too, still have 4 of the 2011 Lego sets in my collection simply for the aesthetic.

Not least used, more like least seen onscreen and on-page. Kinda like the lancer droids and clones and the Droid Assault Flyer. And if it satisfies 'ya, they at least became more seen and useful starter vehicles/cannon fodder in the Empire at War eras (Thrawn's Revenge included).

Since I never noticed this in the movies, I always assumed that it was some sort of lego original, like a cheap to make star warsy looking thing they could throw into some sets.

It sounds like it was treated as a specialist unit for specific terrains (perhaps because it wasn't a KDY/Rothana walker), and was seldom deployed outside of them, even when it would have been advantageous to do so.

Once again, the Republic creates a weapon that could have won the war, yet they refrain from using it to its full potential. I would say that I could use this weapon, but I am afraid my B1 units may crash it into a tree upon attempting to use it.

So basically the ISP is the least impressive of the Republic and Imperial vehicles, which is why it's not used as much despite its effectiveness. Not massively mind you, it does its job well, to borrow an analogy from the KZfaqr JPRPokemonTrainer98, it didn't drop out of school or something, and it's got a good job, a nice house, and a decent car to drive for fun on weekdays, but all the other vehicles that got much more uses are apparently millionaires by comparison so they get more use and focus. But that's just how life goes, some are born to be great and others are born to be ISPs. LOL.

A strange analogy, that. Sure beats the underused capabilities of the AT-AP, and both vehicles did get new leases in from the Galactic Civil War onwards.

How's about a video on the different Republic, rebel, and Imperial land vehicles that have shields? Why? I'm curious 1, two been seeing some vids with games that have both warhammer and Star wars factions in them and am sick to the teeth of the Star Wars factions being severely misrepresented in terms of power. What I mean is if you make a mod with star wars and 40k. The power stats for the star wars weapons and shields should be the same as the Tau. Why? Tau weapons Fire plasma, All Star wars blasters bolts and turbo laser bolts are plasma by their definition. Tau have shield mechs and vehicles, star wars has shielded droids and vehicles. They're weapons fire power and shield/armor stats should practically be the same. Now after saying all this honestly, I will also say this honestly, not arguing with anyone about this topic now, which SW land vehicles have shields and which don't, but fear that could happen in the near future (IDKW) and am rusty on my personal SW vehicle data. So really up to you if you want to help me out or not. I just wanted to throw out here.🤷‍♂

It was a pretty versatile little vehicle you could have 2 Dual Blaster Cannons Or 2 Missile Pods Or 2 Composite Beam Cannons A pack of these with all of its varied weaponry would be pretty devastating.
