To everyone interested, a word of caution. This game is published by nicalis. This means: - They'll drop any support for a published game per platform as soon as they feel like. Bum-Bo for iOS is abandoned because it didn't make them enough money. - If you're not North American, you don't count. The Isaac Repentance expansion on Switch came out in Europe NINE months after the US, with nary a word of acknowledgement. - Various other scummy behaviours to less business oriented devs than Edmund, such as effectively swindling Pixel from Cave Story out of his publishing rights.

So pumped to see you post this review. I'm definitely looking forward to this game. Titles like Puzzle Quest and Gems of War are some of my favorite semi-mindless chillout games. I love Binding of Isaac as well, so this game sounds right up my alley. Thanks for covering the game in so much detail - much appreciated.

Yea I saw it upcoming so had to give it a go being a big isaac fan. It's a lot different to isaac but enjoyable imo, no Fenyx 😊

Love Isaac, love puzzle games and been wanting a match 3 type of puzzle game, but I’m not into deck building games…..this looks cool though

It's not really deck building tbh, you gain abilities like trinkets in Isaac which you can activate for abilities.

The game looks awesome and I’m excited to see another game from the Isaac universe. I’m just not a fan of the match games…not since Dr. Mario. Maybe I’ll come ‘round on this one.

I'm not a fan of match three either, but this one doesn't really feel like your traditional match 3 games tbh, you have to focus on getting both the matches you want and the enemies actions so there's a lot more going on.

Isaac is one of those which takes quite a bit of practice to get use to and you have to have a mega memory for all the items lol. Hope you enjoy Paul!

We may yet see one, but the game is only just coming to consoles so I guess they will see how well it sells.

Love the amazing style, but the battle systems is gonna make this 1 a major sale pick up unfortunately

It takes a bit of getting use to, it's more not knowing what to expect from new enemies which had me struggling at times, but it's fun. Hopefully you enjoy it if you grab it on sale.

Given the overall theme of the tiles with boogers and poop, I'm pretty sure that the yellow teardrops (as you called them) are meant to be urine. Such a "nice" game. It looks very washed out and bleak, but I guess that's just the style it strives for. Looks like an overly complex battle system, but probably meant to be more unique than existing match-3 systems. However, this looks like a definite skip for me, no matter what it will cost at a sale.

Aye you're probably right, I thought teardrops were better than piss droplets 😂 it is definatley the style they're known for, Isaac has some grim imagery in it lol. The battle system is relatively simple, just got to learn how to predict enemy patterns and prepare for them.

This is an easy hard pass for me. Certain aspects of the gameplay seem potentially entertaining, but I hate the gross themes 😝 and am not a Binding of Issac fan. But thanks for the review!
