Fatty Bolger was one of the few hobbits who knew about the One Ring. Instead of joining Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin he stayed behind in Crickhollow and encountered the Nazgul. During the Scouring of the Shire Fatty would be imprisoned after rebelling against sharky leading to him being starved and no longer being called fatty upon his release
