"This (you know which one) might be the best puzzle in gaming" - Big brain Pointcrow
Tunic is an action-adventure game by Andrew Shouldice and published by Finji. Tunic plays like a 2D Zelda mixed with Dark Souls bossfights and Outer Wilds knowledge based advancement. It is really a great game and I would highly recommend it to anyone :)

I remember when i read that part at the end where it says "isn’t there someone you should show this to?" My immediate thought was "ah yes, i should bring this book to the librarian."

Watching someone else find the golden path for the door was absolutely amazing to watch. The second half of this game really does turn you into a maniac.

This game is fucked and I love it. It's cruel. It just does and doesn't tell you anything. It feels a bit like outer wilds mixed with zelda. But also I feel like I'm actually losing my mind. I'm genuinely too stupid to figure out so much. And I suck at the combat. But God have I loved what I have played

I really appreciate these supercuts so much, I watched all of the Outer Wilds ones and seeing this of tunic and reliving the experience of discoveries is incredible. Thank you seriously!

From the type of games you choose, it seems like you really have the bug for these metroid-brainia games that outer wilds inspired. Great stuff, I love re-living these games through streamers. So good.

It's so funny seing people play the game in the intended route, because the game seems actually balanced for it. During my first playthrough I somehow went from the east forest to the quarry, then to the frogs domain (which I thought was a stealth section because I had yet to figure out offerings) and then back to the quarry before I finally went down to beneath the well and did the intended path.

By offerings do you mean the Stat buffs?
@LepidoliteMica
@LepidoliteMica 4 ай бұрын
Funny thing is, for all that all of those are out of order, the Frog's Domain actually is _balanced as_ a stealth section, though by the time most people reach it in the intended progression they have the equipment and stats to just bumrush it. That's the reason why there's a weird focus on patrol routes that doesn't really pop up in any other section; the frogs are specifically positioned such that there's a pacifist path through them all.

I did everything the intended way but didn't figure out offerings until the siege engine, and I beat the first boss without a shield because I didn't find it right away lol

I find such a simple joy in watching people play Tunic for the first time. Like "Yes, my Tunicling. Fumble absolutely everything. You know nothing, yet everything at the same time."

Man I just finished this game a couple days ago and I keep thinking about it. The golden path is probably going to be the most memorable puzzle I'll ever complete. I loved playing the game and I loved watching Crow play it as well. Thanks for making this supercut, it was lots of fun watching

I’m only halfway through the video, but Eric’s total refusal to use bombs is so frustrating. I spammed those things so frequently that by the end I was at +6 bonus bombs for each type

Hey Eelis, always love your compilations and you have amazing taste in games! I was wondering if you've heard of/played Lorelei and the Laser Eyes? It's a brand new puzzle game that I think you both enjoy on a personal level, but would also be a cool game to create streamer comps of. Keep up the great work friend!

I appreciate the counters for deaths vs bosses 😂😂 but wondering about the gauntlet because goddamn that was a long and arduous struggle for me I even ended up soft locking myself into the fight, I went back up the elevator, promptly died, and the elevator stayed up there, my spawn point being right before the gauntlet

If you don’t like the combat, there are options in the settings to make it easier - there’s no penalty for using them, as far as I can tell

If the combat is too hard, you have a few options. There’s an infinite stamina mode that lets you shield and dodge as much as you want without penalty. Reduced difficulty cuts the amount of damage you take in half. And there’s a no fail mode that gives you infinite health. Don’t let the combat get in the way of the wonderful puzzles

the one problem i have with this game is the lack of translation for the language. I think its a bit much to expect you to decode it yourself with pen and paper, and would have been better if there was an in game method of translating it as you figured it out, kind of like Chants of Sennar. Cause like, the casual gamer isn't going to be able to understand the dialogue of the ghosts and such, and thats very sad.
