i love the fact that his speed application doesn't just apply to his headshots/KO finishers. he goes for the body fast, and if he gets his outside foot FURTHER than the opponents foot then he gets to unleash any combo move he wants

Power has diminishing returns. You only need enough power to rattle the brain for a KO. IF you have that and then devastating speed like Ryan has then you can beat guys that punch harder but who are slower. Every now and then you get a mix of the two like Mike Tyson and it's a nightmare to go against.

You know that old guy that knows everything about boxing? ~ Well it's not meee but I'd met him back in the mid 1960's ~ With a fair degree of stubbornness he informed me that a left hook is executed with the punching hand a hand's breadth away from your own chin, elbow shoulder and upper body rigid like it was a solid lump of wood, then 100% of the punch coming from pivoting the hips... An ex Army Ranger, one of Cus DAmato's friends if it matters, he also told me the correct technique for a technically perfect upper-cut and left rip, once I'd understood the true dynamics always made me wince watching Joe Frazier work the bag with the left rips, seriously, Frazier really scared me... PS: Don't hit 'ANYTHING' unless your wrists are strapped...
