This video shows the best diplomacy strategy I've ever seen, alongside some top plays and hilarious banter. Eight players faced off on the real world map "Texas" and there can only be one victor. There was love, heartbreak, and drama in this one. Enjoy "The Legends of Texas!" This was streamed live on my Twitch channel. Check out the links below to get more involved/support my content.

I wanted purple to win, but I am still happy to have seen this madness at the end. This is exactly why I prefer watching AOE over Starcraft even though I like playing SC more (propably because I am too stupid to figure out how to manage my resources ;) ) Y is there no regicide or King of the Hill in SC? Wouldn't that be awesome to watch? Sadly crystal nothing would probably suck... Blizzard should really consider the introduction of an equivalent to Wolfes and Boars they are always good for a funny kill. Cannot figure out why SC is so popular in the e-sport scene it's fun to play but sooooooo boring to watch. AOE RULES!!!
@anblueboot5364

I think what got me into watching pro SC2 were 1st the Caster, they are fairly good at what they are doing and than the it was a game of sOs(could be anybody else I even forgot the oponent because it was the first match I watched and never found it again) I guess. If I remeber right it was a game where he was pushed back so hard he had barely nothing after a zerg rush he got even towered in his main base and couldn't realy expand anywhere and still made a comeback. Just this amount of skill this player has proven fascinated me. Seeing more great micro management and harassment and so on just got me into watching pro SC2, with the caster ofcourse without a good caster I think nobody would watch any esport game. So yeah, I never was that good at SC2 but seeing a pro multitasking 3 base drops and micro all of those just seems so far away as a skill, they make it seem those happening at the exact same time is just amazing and make me think that a good/pro SC 2 player could maybe micro 2-3 Charackter/Roles in a MOBA game (or well league, as I played that MOBA a lot)

Yeah, there is some really impressive stuff to be seen, but there isn't silly stuff that is simply entertaining, I rarely watch the normal 1 on 1 aoe videos either, once I've seen 20 of those it got boring. Yes, every once in a while I watch one, and there is certainly impressive stuff to be seen (as is in starcraft), but I really like the unpredictability of Free for all, regicide, nomad... I also think that 1 on 1 in aoe is generally more interesting as the resource placement brings a level of randomness to the match and it is really great to see how people react to random elements and employ them in their strategy. I know that the e-sports crowd pobably doesn't like too much randomness since there can be a lot of money on the line and having forward gold piles can really screw you. I am a pretty shitty SC Player but I find a lot easier to manage eco and troops and in most situations I have some understanding on what I have to do. In AOE it ist too overwhelming for me there are so many things I could do and I always screw up managing my involvment in certain parts of the game. Sometimes eco is alright but I don't scout enough and have too little map control and when the opponent plays offensively I really lose control. While I suck at starcraft I don't have the feeling I suck because there is just too much stuff to focus on but rather because I haven't put the effort into getting better at executing my strategy. I still enjoy a game of AOE every once in a while but I only play against a friend of mine who is equally bad. ;)
@anblueboot5364
@anblueboot5364 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I can see where you're comming from, to be honest I only watch sOs, because he is THE cheaser in SC2, and Innovation because people claiming him to be the best in the world. From both of them, sOs is the far more interesting player because I just love chease, why shouldn't one just canon rush in a pro game ?!? or do some other strange things. So yeah standart games can get very boring very fast also a reason why, in my opnion, LoL is loosing so many viewers in their pro league games are just not entertaining to watch if there is no silly strategy involved or something other totaly absurd. and yes I can only agree, managing eco in AOE is sooo much harder and balancing it is so much more difficult. I've tried to get back into AOE2 but playing with others online is just so intimidating as most online player, they are all somwhat good or just that much better than oneself. (I tend to screw up with military not having enough, beside efficient economy, scouting, finding sheep fast consitantly ect.) And when I play with a friends he's worse than me ^^" When I play SC2, I always have the problem with not forgetting my macro, I was once at the point where I could overcome my lack in macro with somewhat decent, for my lvl and time I spend into playing it, micro. Situations like : yeah I may only have a few stalker so I will just snipe your 8 + carrier or what other units you may have, just to loose because I was occupied microing my units and somewhat forgot my base and taking care of it. A friend told me that I should try to focus more on my macro before I get into micro but I was young and wanted to make cool plays, ofcourse at that point in time I already knew that I should try to focus macro to but cheasing is too much fun XD Still Units having their own skills makes single fights so much harder, if you want to get the most out of your troops, ofcourse shortkeys help a lot. I mean this is the reason why mass monks is so hard to play with, microing everysingle one is just that hard. (not saying that aoe micro is sooo much easier but different)
@zuiop9993
@zuiop9993 6 жыл бұрын
There is one thing I would really love to see, how good would professional starcraft players be in AOE, I wouldn't want them to play it instead of starcraft, but maybe there are some professionals out there that every once in a while play a little. It would be so interesting to see how good they would be compared to people like viper. I personally never got into lol of dota, I didn't try it because I didn't find the premise interesting. To be honest I am not the kind of person who plays one game a lot I usually focus more on single player games and some starcraft. I don't have the time I got when I was 18 ;) So you are probably a lot more experienced in those games, I play sc very casually, it is a game I never uninstall but sometimes don't play for weeks... So I guess I am not very good at either macro or micro. I recently started playing aoe a little more often, I guess I have T90 to blame for it. I find it very interesting that watching the streams or youtube vids made me much more aware about the map and I actually tried to pay attention to things I never thought about 10 or more years ago. I will definitively get the definitive edition. There is one huge criticism I have regarding aoe2, the campaign doesn't really teach you how to succeed. There are too many missions that don't revolve around the skills you need in multiplayer. SC does a much better job at that.
@anblueboot5364
@anblueboot5364 6 жыл бұрын
Oh yes this is would be so interesting, maybe in their Streams one can watch them play different games. I bet one can use some of the skills they learned, things like beeing fast and rotating through units is something that should overlapp but the areas where one needs to be aware, minimap, healthbar of units and so on are totaly different so they would need to relearn their old skills. It would be great watching them. Nah I don't have the time either XD To be honest I missed out on so many games because of LoL, that I realy regret playing it because now I don't have the time anymore to play all those good old games like Skyrim, Dark Souls, Boarder Lands, any Assaisns Creed game and many more, and than a lot of new games come out each year I don't have the time to go through.... To be honest I don't play any video games right now only if a bunch of friends come back together, I changed my focus on table top games likes mice and mystic or robinson cruiso XD or classic pen and paper, beside doing LARP for me it was rocket beans who brought me to t90 and than t90 who I stuck with because of community games I will also get the definitive edition just to play it. T90, often talks about how the game "Meta" was evolving with time, I don't think the developer wanted to teach special skills or how to be efficient and just tell a Story, ofcourse some basics were taught but nothing ground breaking or what would be usefull for todays standart. I always saw it like a Story campain in a single player rpg nothing more or at least this is how I played them as a kid on my playstation 2 with a controller XDD

Just imagine how amazing this game could have been if Blue Coffee was in there... Though... Maybe he would have been too good at being the puppet-master. But... I would really like to see an all-star match with: - Blue Coffee - Snippy - Aurion/Saly (might be unfair with both, because they might ally) - Philster (just because it is entertaining to watch him) (and 4 other players that might fit in. Can't think of other great choices right now)

Watching this as a Texan was immensely triggering but this was possibly the greatest AoE match I've ever seen. Texas joined the USA in 1845 though, we typically celebrate 1835 as it's when we declared independence from Mexico.

See, the puttiong someone's king in a transport to keep them as a loyasl subject thing is something i've thought about. it's the perfect deterrent, because a single button press means they die. Orange is a damn good vassal state

How would like a "Lord of the Rings" kinda map? I imagine a map with a small plateau borded with cliff and 2 access points in the middle of the map. On the plateau would be "Saurons-Eye" a tower/castle/church-mix with allowes the owner to see at least one third of the map and a cheap buy of treason (cause of regicide-meta). Further more it would be one single relict (the ring ;) for the relic win. Further more keeping the relic should give an extra boost, maybe of gold or increasing the stats of military units...I know such settings would give one player who captures the tower a big advantage but i am sure its balanced out because he would be early targeted from the others...
