I remember this game from my grandparent’s house. Their old PC desktop had it, and me and my cousins would spend hours messing around on this game. I just recently remembered it for some reason, and I found this video. Takes me back to being a kid in the early 2000s and simpler times in my life. Funny how that works

This game has pretty great pacing for a little kid such as I was when I played this. There were enough hidden interactions to keep coming back to find them.

This is what started it all for me! There are professional simulation software very similar to this, when I first used some of those packages I smiled and immediately thought of this classic game. Fun Fact: The whistle of the steam engine is the whistle used in, "The LEGO Movie" during the Western Train/Bridge scene.

I remember this game, but for some reason everything was in french. My parents count figure out how to change the language settings, even the install guide was in french. Anyone else ever hear of that? I thought when i wrote a latter it was actually going to the president lol

I remember I just got a legal copy of LEGO Loco from one of my cousins when I was like 9. I never knew what to do with this game so I didn't play it again. Now I'm 15. I'm not good at organizing my own stuff and I found the disc today. I decided to give a chance and try to install it again. It's kinda working but, since the CD's scratched very badly it's impossible to install it again. It always gives errors while writing stuff onto the SSD. So I'm just gonna give one more chance and pirate the game and play.

I remember when my dad installed this game, he was so confused by the silly voice that the station master character had when you first start a new game. I was too young to realize what he was talking about, but I remember him saying, "Why is he speaking French? I thought I installed this in English." He thought the station master speaking complete gibberish was actually speaking French. He would even go as far as reinstalling the game in another language just to see if that was just what the voices sounded like. And, sure enough, the only thing that changed was the language of the text. Thinking back to that, it just seems hilarious how he thought it was French.
