The Lego store in the Mall of America is insane! Visiting Lego stores of Milwaukee and Minneapolis

On our trip back home from Brickworld Chicago, we decided to detour through Milwaukee and Minneapolis. We stopped at the Lego store in both cities. The mall of America store was insane!

The builds are truly amazing and the store is clearly way bigger than the LEGO house one (even the LEGOLAND store in Billund was bigger).

West Edmonton Mall in Alberta has a Lego store with no ceiling and has Lego builds like that. It is also the largest mall in Canada. Maybe Lego stores with no ceiling are a largest mall in your country kind of thing, haha.

This is my Lego store. If you ever come back to MN, have Alex let me know in advance, and we can meet at the bricks and minifigs in Apple Valley, which will be open in july and will be my close store.

Dude, you were in my neck of the woods! Sorta. We’re about an hour and a half from Mayfair. I think it’s my closest LEGO store (not counting the one at my fingertips). Never been there though. You nailed Wauwatosa btw 🙂 Go Brewers! Excited for BWC footage!!

Someone needs to step up and be the collector of Trans Blue Satellite Dishes and just collect a million of them, like you do with Oswald's. Maybe they could build a Steampunk city and use them joined together as skywalks between buildings or something? For the good of the community, someone needs to collect them all. 🤣

Looks like a fun trip back from Chicago. We drive through Milwaukee to/from Door County, so we might need to plan for a detour one of these trips. Mall of America is on the bucket list, too. I can only imagine how it compares to the West Edmonton Mall. I’ve heard good things 🙂

I haven’t been to the mall in Edmonton but I can say the Mall of America won’t disappoint. Plus it’s bc a lot closer to your house than mine.

That Mall of America LEGO store was the first one I ever went to in 2010. I was still in a dark age, but I loved looking at the models. We brought the girls to Mall of America when they were 5 and I successfully got them hooked on LEGO by letting them each pick a set. Emily picked an Elves dragon and Julie picked an Elves castle that had a cool mechanical portal. They also loved the amusement park.

@@jasonsbricksin5 We didn't have one in Indiana until 2011. I have a picture of me next to a life-size brick-built Jango Fett, and I think there was a brick-built motorcycle suspended over the store.

Reon here. Glad you could come and visit my hometown of milwaukee and visit our lego store. Did you stop at the bricks and minifigs that's just down the street there? Also I'm currently out in Utah! Visiting the bricks and minifigs out here.

We didn’t make it to bricks and minifigs but I didn’t realize it was close to the Lego store. Enjoy Utah! Hopefully you came here for something other then our used Lego stores 🤣

Toronto Canada has 3 Lego stores. All 3 stores' BAM stations have all the minifigure parts mixed up. An employee told me they weren't allowed to keep all the parts sorted. I guess management decided it was taking too much time for employees to sort it all.

I know lots of people seem to love them but the Lego mosaics have never appealed to me. I feel like it's an idea that was interesting the first couple of times someone did it but now it's like 'ok you can use lego tiles to make a crappy pixelated image, I get it' 😂

They tend to be more suited to larger builds where you can stand back at a distance for sure.
