Film and stage star (and Russell Crowe's & Samantha Bark's co-star in the soon-to-be-released blockbuster Les Miserables) comes up out of the audience to join his friends onstage for a few songs at the close of the evening's 2nd show. That's his haircut for the character he played in the film Winter's Tale, which was filming at the time of this show (or had just completed filming). Same reason Alan has the pornstache - that was for his Winter's Tale character too.
