The Hoverboard is constructed from an insulated core, containing HTSLs (high temperature superconducting blocks). These are housed in cryostats - reservoirs of liquid nitrogen that cool the superconductors to -197°C. The board is then placed above a track containing permanent magnets. When the board is cooled to its operating temperature the track’s magnetic flux lines are ‘pinned’ into place, maintaining the hover height of the board.

@@tomviktorsson5052 Maglev trains are on a fixed physical track that has magnets in it for strictly vertical lift properties. The ingenuity of this Lexus system is using a superconductor (super cooled) to create a magnetic field that doesnt just levitate vertically but can also "freeze" to keep the levitating object perfectly stable and locked into the field without any physical restraints or anything above the surface to guide it.

To make it work on normal roads there needs to be a conductor of magnetism in the roads because if there are no magnets it won't work and the board won't even hover

trueeeee i think they should just put the track on wheels and make the hover board higher so it moves like a skate board but still with hovering and turn ability aspects
