He died so young. My only son is autistic, he has been fascinated with Robert Wadlow since he was a very young child. So glad you did this.

I remember reading about him, probably in the Guinness Book of World Records. It’s unbelievable he died the same age as my youngest is now.😢

I saw a life-size replica of Robert Wadlow at 2 different Ripley's Believe it or Not Museums. He was an amazing hu an being.

Less than 5 years later penicillin was developed and other antibiotics came along and he never would have died from that skin infection.

No but he wouldn't have lived very long. He would have had very severe issues no matter what. That disorder is fatal.

@spaceghost8995 that's true but it would be interesting to see if he made 10ft. I believe he was still growing an inch or two per year. In the developed world this will never happen again since they can detect it and stop it early.

There was a guy in my high school that had this. He was mean and foul. He seemed to hate everything and everyone. He said the doctors told him he would never stop growing and that he would die young. He was in my gym class. He was not a guy you would want to get on his bad side. Evil. Never found out what happened to him after graduation.

Rest peacefully Robert,there is a shoe store in Alton that has his shoes on display! Those would be some pretty big shoes to fill! I am 5 ft. He could of squished me😮

Giants suffered so much more than normal sized human beings. My husband and I knew a family that has a giant son. He was actually 2 months premature but grew to be 7’1.

He looked frail, but its been well documented that he was extremely strong and could easily rip a car door off if he wanted to, and lift 200 pound men like they were a bag of groceries.. But he was a gentle giant...

This is really depressing. He died so early. I feel like he would’ve had a better life if doctors were more interested in improving his life, the mobility of his legs. Likely he would have reduced chance of injury, so it’s sad to know a community did not have any interest in providing him a good life. I guess you could blame the family, but this type of knowledge was uncommon. Shame. Rest In Peace my dude. I bet there were quite a few difficult moments. Ain’t much size comparison in Heaven.

This is the man that I was referring to as a giant 8 feet 8 inches, his body metabolism is not normal ..now could he be a DNA of the Nephlim, in Iraq they found a cadaver that was over 9 feet in height .
