In today’s video, we’re bringing you along as we seek to find answers to questions from viewers about the video I made on Omar ibn Sayyid. A Fulani scholar originally from Futa Toro located in northern Senegal and Mauritania. Because many of you, our viewers, are from Senegal, Mauritania, Ethiopia, Timbuktu Mali, and other places and wanted to know a little more about Omar ibn Sayyid and his life and legacy here in the United States of America, we traveled to his Masjid to speak with the Imam there and hopefully get you all the information and answers you are looking for.
During our trip, we came across a few hindrances on the road such as car collisions and even randomly got 2 flat tires ourselves only 4 minutes away from the Masjid destination. Nevertheless, we know from history that whenever there’s some good to come, Satan will do what he can to cause distraction, and take you off course. So, we persevered, called Uber, and left our car on the side of the road until our mission to the Masjid was complete. We really care about you all.
By Allah’s grace, we were welcomed with open arms and the Imam and assembly were extremely kind, understanding and helpful.

I enjoyed this interview. Although I appreciated the history of Omar bin Sayyid, one of my favorite parts of this interview was when the Imam spoke about using the Holy Quran as a Prism. As Muslims it is very important to filter our thought, habits and experiences through the light and teaching of the Holy Quran. Thanks for sharing!

Yes! That was such an excellent way to put it. This Imam made so many great reflections during the Friday Sermon but I didn't feel comfortable recording before asking him. And because of the tire blowouts, we entered the Masjid after he'd already begun. I absolutely enjoyed hearing him speak. And thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment :)

Subhan’Allah tabarakAllah I learned something today from the Shaik What he said is true, I remember I don’t know if it was Buchanan his name when he was running for office had a sister who was the News anchor for CNA I believe what he said is true, I remember I don’t recall his name correctly All I remember is the time he was News media interview he said the Caucasians are declining, he was coding in Europe how many percentages were left and in America how many percentages were Caucasian this I remember I was young but not that young didn't care about one or another now all it makes sense thank you, my dear sister, once again to remember me jazakAllah Khair🌹♥️☝️🏼

When I was born in the late 50s my Mother’s side of the family was Nation of Islam so I was exposed to the Nation of Islam and the Christian church and later Al-Islam based upon the Qur’an and teachings of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh). By the time I was 20 years old I had read both the Bible and the Qur’an and I felt bad for the many of our people that knew nothing about Islam and who refused to believe that many of those sold into slavery were Muslims from Africa

"Then there came to our place a large army, who killed many men. They took me, and brought me to the great sea, AND SOLD ME INTO THE HANDS OF THE CHRISTIANS who bound me and sent me on board a great ship." Omar Ibn Said met the christians on the beach. The christians were on the beach, waiting for prisoners to buy. Omar Ibn Said was therefore captured by MUSLIMS.

Sir, you really think you've figured it out huh? Lol, if his captors were Muslim, he would have said so seeing as how he's Muslim himself. Certainly, he would have recognized other Muslims.
