I was subjected to the Salesians as a child. The school I went to in a relatively small Australian city was, like most Salesian schools, ground zero for intense child sexual and physical abuse. The Rector of the school was subsequently convicted of multiple child sexual offences. Two other priests were, typically, transferred from school to school around the country before finally being named and shamed. The headmaster, a brother, was subsequently convicted of obstructing the course of justice, since he orchestrated the overseas transfer of another abuser wanted by police. That's FOUR out of the local Salesian religious community that numbered seven. Once can only conclude that the others, if not also guilty of offences, knew what was going on and, also typically, never spoke out. Every single Salesian school in Australia has been the focus of similar sexual abuse. Also, the priests and brothers who taught in the school were routinely abusive, caning kids with rulers, yardsticks and pointers, or whacking them over the head with heavy bibles. Literally bible-bashing. Often not for any actual offence, but as "a warning". These people were sick, psychopathic monsters, and the Salesian community protected them to the bitter end. They were ALL complicit.

I find them both fascinating and repulsive. They certainly know how to lie to the world.

Following Jesus Christ as a priest is not a easy work . Only Chosen people can become Salesian . I studied and learnt from a Salesian School Assam India .
