Finally created a Patreon www.patreon.com/mercurialno6 Never made a penny from any of these videos. Record Companies put adverts all over my work and claim the money. Can't blame them. This is almost the definition of a 'transformative' video... but like I said, I can't really blame them. Please subscribe to my Patreon if you feel able. Kanye is still very much a hands-on producer, still chopping samples and all the rest, he just brings in all kinds of people for small touches although sometimes more, literally anyone involved gets a credit regardless of the size of the contribution. He's very generous in that way

Man the fact that someone like you, being a producer who primarily listened to rock music, is able to appreciate Kanye West’s true artistic greatness so far from all the Kanye albums you’ve listened to really makes me happy as a Kanye fan :) Kanye is so much more than a ‘rapper’ and in the literal sense too, because he is a producer. The way Kanye curates his pieces of art himself is often overlooked by people not open enough to listen to him. Thank you for branching out man !!!

You're right at the start that this is a gospel album, that's what Kanye himself called it at first. Obviously it isn't gospel in the traditional sense, but it represents Kanye's internal struggle between his strong Christian faith and his overbearing ego and indulgent lifestyle, both pretty clearly displayed on the album cover.

I think Kanye had managed to blend his ego and religous sides. Much to the chagrin of the "humbler" religious people and less religous fans like myself but Kanye is sorta at the head of a full on cult these days, and has always had the mentality but not so much the direct following until he tossed out the cursing and in your face sexuality. I simply think he switched the way he practiced while keeping the same level of faith.
