Yesterday I was able to be present when bird rescue released a Kestrel I had rescued! He was thrilled to fly for the first time! When I left, I saw him soaring above the landscape in circles. Thanks for not saying 'evolved'. Amazing how the mom makes sure each mouth gets fed. God is amazing!

Congratulations on a brilliant production that captured the life of such a beautiful bird, I watched your video several times and I couldn’t help but notice that only 4 birds fledged, I shall go back and check but it appeared that all 5 chicks were doing really well and looked to be in good health and size, I know that it’s not often that the full brood get to fledge, due to food availability or best box accidents, but everything seemed to be perfect, just a shame all 5 never got to fly Thank you for taking the time to film, produce & post such a beautiful film

Congratulations on making such an accomplished and intimate film of the life of kestrels. Today I was fortunate enough to see a kill in front of me, in the deep midwinter, down here in Devon, which has given me a taste for the birds. But I'm seriously impressed by the patience you must have held to make all of this film. Thank you for posting.

Hi There - Amazing video. I am from South Africa and we also have these here. At work we have a resident breeding pair. Unfortunately this year 3 of the 4 babies were blown of the nest and it is out of reach for me to put them back. I took one and friends of mine took the other 2. Growing well and another 2 weeks mine will be ready to fledge. Amazing little things.

Beautiful video. I had the pleasure of a Kestrel drop in my yard, how it got there, I don't know. Must have left a little too early as it could only get about a foot off the ground. So, I fed it some beef and chicken during the day, where it went at night is anyone's guess. Maybe to dig up some bugs. In about a week it was strong enough to fly away, so glad. My wife wanted to know if we can keep it, and I said NO. It's wild, not accustomed to people. Got some nice pictures and videos of her while she hung around. BTW, what video equipment did you have stationed around? Great quality.

@@Glasgowurbanwildlife Thanks. I was thinking you were using the GoPro when watching and recording them in their little next. I am so amazed at birds, so different, so complex, yet they fly with ease. I watch crows and ravens. Such clowns. Then I get a kick when crows try to move a hawk away. Got some good video of the crows messing with the hawk. Thanks for making such great videos of those falcons. They are so cute for a raptor.
