I remember being a small child .AND MY MAMA WAS S.T.R.I.C.T !! When we got grounded SHE MENT , NO ,OUTSIDE, NO TELEVISION, NO RADIO, NO PHONE ..NOTHING ..WELL,she had the book THE SUPREMES By Mary Wilson .I was so so bored ..I picked it up and began to scroll through the pictures 1st. I well NEVER EVER FORGET ...HOW AS A SMALL CHILD . I thought Florence was the most BEAUTIFUL OF THE 3 WOMAN .Well,, I began to read the ENTIRE BOOK ..I must have been 7 years old ..maybe 8 ..BUT it began my love of BOOKS, and the love and story of Florence .Mary always always gave Flo her flowers and fought for her legacy ..RIP QUEENS !!

We live our lives fulfilling our destiny. The trick is that no one knows how it's going to turn out. The whole world knows her name, remembers how beautiful she was. Who knows what would've happened if she were the lead. Could it be that other people made her feel ashamed? RIP Florence

What is so sad is that Mary Wilson died 45 Years afterwards and in 2021 another Girlband Icon died. Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud 1981-2021 from the UK. When they did their last show in 2013, they wore Red Dresses as though they were paying homage to The Supremes, but Sarah made sure her Mother Marie was taken care of. Girls Aloud are doing a reunion tour and when they sang The Promise, through the magic of Technology they showed her singing.

And the ones who keep speaking negativity on Florence is Diana's obsessive cult Stan's because they are very evil they always want to say Florence was the blame for her own downfall because they don't want the horrible actions that Diana did not to be told when she also did horrible things to her other Motown peers and they even attacked Gladys Knight when she admitted and told the world that Diana called berry and had Gladys Knight and the pips put off of a tour because she was jealous of how they sounded better than her. You can't blame her for lashing out either berry wasted a lot of good talent because him being only focused on Diana.

Poor Florence. I think a lot of her problems as an adult stemmed from the fact that she was assaulted as a teenager. She probably never got any kind of help or therapy for it. It had less to with Diana or Berry, and more to do with this tragedy.

She formed d group, asked Diana to join & later was kicked out while Diana slept her way to the top !!!

If Flo just opened up her legs this might have been a different story. But I really think that BG was not Flo’s type but then you have others that will do anything to get ahead like sleeping with the boss. As I recall I think it was Flo that started the group. If you were BG main squeeze, he would most likely give you all the opportunities and not bothers with the rest of the girls. As that relationship grew the girlfriend was made the lead singer and the background arrangements for the girls became less and less to be able to show case the lead singer. You see this on TV shows where the camera main focus was with the lead singer and who was also made the main speaker of the group. I fell in love with the Supremes all the three girls with their own sound got me hooked. BG has been sued by so many of his artists that worked for him because of unfair practices or lack of salary payments. The way Motown was setup with the artist only being able to use the Motown attorneys was not fair because it’s a conflict of interest because Motown was only looking out for Motown and not the artists who some were only teenagers at that time. Even though Motown was a great idea, if they were just more transparent and honest with its artists things might have been a different story. After all these years, I just hope that all the Motown artists receive money for the sale of their records. I’m guessing that once BG meets his maker, someone will write a book and tell everything that went on at the real Motown and how it conducted business and treated its artists. This is MO .
