Hi everyone and welcome back! So excited to have a totally new kind of video today -- a collaboration with another awesome sims 2 builder and storyteller, Ani Bats! We wrote each other open-ended, weird holiday story prompts and are building shells for the other. Then we trade, decorate the shell and give our own spin on the story! Today I am going to decorate Ani's lighthouse that she built and give my own unhinged spin on her amazing story prompt she wrote. Hope you enjoy!

I’ve watched and rewatched this a couple of times and have decided that I need to write down my thoughts as I process one more time, so I apologize in advance because this is going to be a long rambly comment 🙈 YOU HAVE A LIGHT MOVING IN THE HOUSE? 🤯Is that a mod or did you edit that in after as a visual effect? It looks epic!!! OMG!!! I’m dead 💀 WE USE THE SAME TEST HOOD TEMPLATE!!! We literally downloaded the same custom map and used it to make speed builds I can’t believe it. I am in love with the way you decorated around the lot! Those rocks especially pulls it all together so nicely. I did laugh when you panned up at the massive slab of rock hiding the rest of the hood, that was brilliant, your comedic timing is impeccable as always. CFE cheat besties!!! ❤ Omg “It’s Santa” killed me! I didn’t even think of that but you’re right haha Moomins is kinda creepy though - did you ever watch the episodes with Morran? Nightmare material! Aaah the terrain paint work is so beautiful! I think you mentioned in a previous video that you use a writing pad to get it looking soft like that - did I remember that correctly? It looks amazing And omg I LOVE that you made a planted seasonal calendar around the house, that is such a cool idea and you made it look stunning! I am obsessed with the way you made the terrain paint with the starfish and sea shells poke through the vegetation. As a kid who grew up around the ocean it’s just chef’s kiss spot on! Also, you counting out the seasons, getting it messed up and proceeding to spamming the undo button while building was such a great comedic moment 😂 Aaah listening to your thoughts as you analyze the prompt is so much fun I love it! The chicken army is so cute haha! I bet the youngest ended up naming all of them before they got the chance to throw them out, so now they’re stuck with them. I adore the milk bottle anecdote - it sounds so much like how me and my cousin used to play as kids too. We’d watch something on TV and then try to recreate it as we played. Boots drying at the stove is such a cute detail and I love that you added in that fourth pair as a clue to the story. God this is so beautifully detailed! The kids’ drawings on the walls was just perfect and the boarded up windows and doors added so much to the creepy vibe I love the bathroom too! It’s such a fantastic horror movie bathroom but aesthetic I can’t! Your thoughts on the treasure is so spot on! Absolutely kids would consider a rusted tin of beans filled with pebbles treasure, for sure all of the stuff you gathered in this house I love that you picked up on the menacing vibe and the conclusions you drew from it. The way you decorated the in between landings is so inspired. I honestly felt a bit bad about them because I realized that not much could be done with them, but I should have known that you would find the perfect use for them. The red light adds so much to the creepy feeling! The cozy spot is adorable! You have to tell me about when you camped out in a lighthouse and lived on citrus fruits to avoid scurvy some time, sounds like an epic tale 🤭 Ooooh creating crates with the dressers was such a neat idea! Very nice I am in LOVE with the story you wrote! Not at all what I expected and that made it so much better!!! The fact that you ended up making the children themselves the “monster” in the story is such a brilliant and unexpected twist wow! I can’t get over the creativity in the way you wrote this as a sea chanty that rhymed. Absolutely epic! You also presented it in such a compelling and beautiful way with the shots of the build - it really added to the way you told the story. Wow what a work of art! ⭐ Thank you again for doing this with me, Bunny! It’s been so much fun; I loved every part of it! ❤

ahhh omg Ani i read this so many times, i loved hearing your reactions to each part!! Yes it's a mod!! It's from sophie david's down from the hood animated deco on mod the sims (or it's in one of those sets of her animated effects on there). I think it's called like "white glow" or something? In the item description it says something like "a big light beam like from a lighthouse." but yeah it spins around just like a lighthouse!! I was so excited to have a perfect spot for it because I've never used it before!! I have actually only ever read the moomins picture books I never saw the show, but now I definitely need to check out the morran episodes! 😂 Yeah I have a wacom drawing tablet that I just always have plugged into my computer and I almost always use it as my mouse when building because it's more ergonomic lol! But when I realized that the pressure sensitivity still worked while terrain painting?? 🤯 Terrain painting with a mouse is like being punished lol, but terrain painting with a pen is so satisfying! It's honestly crazy to me that the pressure sensitivity even works in sims 2 like..?? It's amazing! Definitely recommend any sims 2 builders trying out a drawing tablet for building (although it is a big learning curve at first if you have never used a tablet pen instead of a mouse before). I'm so happy it was fun for you to listen to me think about the story! That was the same reaction I had to your video. It was such a treat to hear someone analyze and play with a story prompt that I came up with so I'm so glad you had the same experience! eeeeee I'm so glad you liked all the decor!! I had SO much fun decorating it, I loved the vibe! hahah yes, my harsh winter getting scurvy in a lighthouse 😂 i worked through that experience through this build! I'm so thrilled that you liked my play on your story! you gave me so many fun little clues and details to work with. It was so fun to do this and it's cool how we built and decorated, but it also basically turned into a creative writing game! That was really cool and a totally unique experience for me! This was so, so much fun and creatively fulfilling too, thank you for collabing with me!! 🥰

i want to live here, it's so cozy and just imagine hanging out on top at night listening to the waves and watching the stars, really nice... as long as you ignore the skeleton. I love where you went with the story and managed to make it rhyme too, honestly super creative. I hope you two will collab again this was a lot of fun to watch

You have unlocked sooooo many memories of The Boxcar Children... I need to go read those books again to relive my childhood. What an amazing build and your decorations brought it to life in the best way possible. You and Ani are now my favorite Sims collaborators. 😍

aw thank you so much! 💓 yess, i wonder how many of us sims fans loved the boxcar children. Would make sense that we love "playing house" in a sense when that's mostly what they did in those books! 😂

Heck yeah, Secret of Roan Inish! Irish cliffs are the first thing I thought of with this build haha Omg a poem, with matching syllables, to boot! With those drawings in the bathroom, I almost expected Cthulhu to come up out of the sea!

omggg yesss secret of roan inish is so good! child me was always "Irish dancing" (aka just running and jumping around the room cuz idk how 💀) to the amazing music in the ending credits!i love that you also thought of Irish cliffs, that's awesome. Haha yeah when I placed the drawings in there I hadn't completely come up with my story yet and I definitely considered whether there might have to be a sea monster approaching!! thank you for watching Ana!!

OMFG, what a cool twist in the story, absolutely loved it!!! I'm never letting milk anywhere close to me, nuh-uh 😅 And what a genius touch with the seasons winding around the cliff, really neat and clever. I could not help but think about Stardew Valley a bit, though, ahah. A truly awesome build, great job you two! ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

I have not met another person that read the Boxcar children series!! They were one of my favourite books to read as a kid! They were so extra LOL I am in love with this challenge. You and Ani truly are so creative. I am probably not alone in wanting this to be a series lol. Thank you so much for sharing!
