So much history I never knew until watching. What a great role the liners played in WWII. Thanks for the history lesson, and sad as well.

Unfortunately for those poor souls, so many of those “Liners” went down. If I didn’t get into Marks curating of these four lmk and programs about many of these giant ocean liners. Since so many went down between “The Great War” (WW1) and the war against communism (Russia/China/Small Asian countries) and fascism, Hitlers Germany, Italy, Japan (WW2) and then soon after Franco’s Fascist Spain and serious instability in Korea in the early-mid 50’s… After reading the paragraph I just wrote, it’s already very complicated. This is why I really believe Mark (curator of this awesome channel) is extremely good at picking through the public domain poor programs, and others with just plain bad facts. Mark’s channel gives us the very best of the best. Teachers across English speaking countries should use this material. Even if students never learn about this interesting part of world history, I still get to enjoy everything Mark uploads for us. I used to have the whole series on VHS three decades ago.I watched them so often, the tapes were completely chewed up. Thanks for uploading these, I can follow the narrator off by heart!

For a particularly good fictional trip back to the maiden voyage of this Queen Mary, watch the David Suchet version of *The Million Dollar Bond Robbery* which takes place largely on that voyage, complete with the fog that slowed the ship.
