Nice one Lou! But expensive no doubt. I've just acquired the new Rega ND3 cartridge - very wide soundstage and a tamed top end. Lacks a bit of bite perhaps. Looking forward to your observations on it.

Yes, we are definitely looking forward to playing with it as well. Definitely seriously needed with the loss of the Elys which was a fine cartridge as well.

So, my question is: Was it worth it?! Great "series" broadcast on the TT From Hell! But, what makes this turntable so darn good that you put in how many man hours, how much for all those parts to fit what might be a great turntable but one with what seem a number of peculiarities? Quite simply why? If I use an automobile analogy, at some point it's time to buy a new car.

What started out as a favor for a good customer who was dealing with pancreatic cancer turned into different case when it became a mission of settlement for the estate. As I said in the 1st or 2nd video, don't do it. So, what started out as a joyful offer turned into a completely different matter. It was, ultimately a financial loss for us but the process reminded me of many of the things I now talk about in other videos. So, all's good.
