I got fillers in my lips for the first time 5 years ago and I have loved it so much but a side effect after a while is that fillers move. It won't stay in the same place and most likely it will after a while have moved to a very unflattering place. I have had my lip fillers dissolved once before but now I'm over with it. I'd rather have small, thin lips than have to deal with clumps and migrated fillers. Hope you enjoy the video or at least find it informative in any way. Be sure to think twice about getting fillers because it's very likely you'll have some complications after a while.

I came across this video by accident, and honestly, it's so refreshing. I'm glad that more women are having their fillers disolved and also highlighting how common it is for it to migrate. It also doesn't always disolve naturally over time - there's a youtube video of a cosmetic surgeon showing a patient's 12 year old filler show up in an MRI. Horrifying that we still don't really know the long term consequences of injecting filler. I also think the filler craze has gone way too far. I've noticed that a lot of young women seem to lose perspective once they're used to their lips being bigger; I've seen so many vlogs of people saying 'they've gone back down so I'm having a top up' and I'm sitting there like, wtf, they're still as big as they were 6 months ago. I really do think it plays with their mind and they lose true perspective of how they actually look. It's sad.

Also to add, I probably will judge you if you have it done again - knowing what you went through the first time and choosing to do it again knowing the risks! 'madness is doing something over and over again and expecting different results' ;)

If you get sick of overlying, another possibility is getting permanent makeup on your lips and let them over line a bit :) I got filler ones and it was gone so fast, so I got my lips tattooed just the outline in a slightly darker color than my one lips and slightly shaded in. It’s not the same as filler but my lips look a bit fuller and I’m very happy about it :)

Well done with the lip filler removal. Already heard that is really painful, what a journey you had. And that’s what i always asked myself, if you’re good with makeup, you can make then bigger or smaller to you or your clients, it’s even more impressive and sometimes looks more natural, no "duck face" or other mistake. Even you can use a bit (lil bit) of sfx for real volume…endless possibilities…

I’m so glad this video showed up on my recommendations. I’ve been considering getting lip fillers for years, but because I’m chicken I was always scared and keep post poning it. I’ve been hearing people rave about fillers and how HA is naturally degraded by the body for years, yet very little is shared about all the things that could go wrong (it migrating, the little balls of filler, possible scar tissue, etc). So, thank you so much for taking us on your journey and educating us,it is truly enlightened 💚

I’m so sorry you had this experience, but so glad you were finally able to resolve it by getting all the filler dissolved! I can really relate to your story because a few years ago I got half a syringe of filler in my top lip to even out its asymmetry and had an allergic reaction to the filler. I had several very painful bumps on the inside of my upper lip where the filler caused concentrated swelling as a result of my body’s immunological response to the filler- it was SO sore and painful & felt really weird as it was on the inside of my lip. But when they dissolved it the filler in the largest bump wouldn’t go down. I will NEVER forget the pain of having multiple shots of hyaluronidase- which stings and burns bad enough when you don’t have a problem, but which is like TORTURE when you inject it in an area that’s already very painful!!😓 They finally got it all out after 3 shots, but I still have a tiny bit of scar tissue from the trauma of my reaction. As you stated, the filler migrated (likely due to overfilling and/or injection technique) and when it did the junction of your cutaneous and vermillion border was compromised which allowed the filler to seep between the dermis and muscle, and possibly between the muscle and submucosal tissue. When the filler is in multiple levels it can be much harder to dissolve evenly. And once the cutaneous border is compromised it can take a long time to heal- sometimes it never fully returns to normal. However, there’s a possible solution to help the healing process (which you’ve likely already heard of) if that should occur, which is getting pdo threads put in the vermillion border and/or a little above it, which would help “re-seal” the tissues that were compromised by the filler. Some get pdo threads in the lip border just for the aesthetic and anti-aging benefits, but it’s also useful in preventing filler migration- or repairing the tissue around the lips due to repeated lip filler or overfilling. When the threads dissolve in a few months they leave behind collagen. Most importantly, though, they’re extremely safe! If you do decide to get filler again, you might want to get pdo threads first to help prevent it from migrating again. But your natural lips are so beautiful- your whole face is gorgeous- you don’t need anything extra or altered! Of course you should do what makes you feel good about yourself. Best of luck in whatever you do!❤❤

Honestly, I've had the opposite experience. I dissolved my top lip after having too much filler injected into it (actual duck lip) and the pain wasn't bad at all. I was really scared going into it because I've heard everyone saying how it burns and hurts but to me it felt the same as injecting filler with a slight burn. And I hate needles! I also had no bruising at all.

I know this is an old video but I just stumbled on it by chance and felt the need to comment lol. I think that when it comes to fillers and other cosmetic procedures it's an individual choice and that we can't really accurately judge people on why they get them. Also it's just not our business. And speaking personally, I don't want to make it my business. But as a 30something who watched a lot of makeup tutorials here on youtube featuring beauty gurus/influencers who were pretty open about why they got certain cosmetic procedures, a lot of their reasons really stuck with me. I remember watching Nikkitutorials in like 2016 admit that she just wanted the fillers because she just "liked the look of big lips." Jeffree Star basically indulged in the fact that he got all sorts of cosmetic procedures; nose job, face and lip filler, jaw reduction, veneers, new hairline, etc. etc. etc. They weren't specifically to blame for the fallout of cosmetic procedures becoming more widely accepted and more mainstream, although I think that along with them and the likes of a number of other beauty gurus and influencers, they did a lot to contribute to this....culture of seeing cosmetic enhancements as "self care" or "self improvement." And it's like, folks can think whatever they want about all of that, but I think that as a result of all of it becoming mainstream and more and more (mostly young) women started getting fillers, we started seeing a lot of people basically looking like each other. It's like there was a collective idea of what "self improvement" looked like to where you could basically make a caricature out of all the cosmetic procedures people were getting. It's the homogenization of what we (as women? as a society?) consider "beautiful." Whether this idea that's ingrained in our collective subconscious is indicative of a bigger issue is really besides the point for me because I feel that because of the society we live in where we're being bombarded with all these attractive images trying to sell you something that's SPECIFICALLY engineered to make us feel like we're lacking in some way, most of us don't grow up feeling content with ourselves. Which is what makes cosmetic procedures and filters and photo editing all the more appealing because we can "cure" that need; whether it be physical or just a fantasy of how we want to be viewed by others. None of this is really taking into account how this affects POC, queer folks, or disabled people, but that bears mentioning because we do live in a world where racism is alive and well and queer folks are constantly scrutinized and judged for how they present themselves, and disabled people are largely never even apart of the conversation because disability "isn't sexy." But I won't get into the sauce of all that. I'll just conclude that I think when a lot of this stuff went mainstream, we not only lost something, we also failed a lot of young and insecure people. Idk, probably preaching to the choir here. Food for thought I guess. In any case I love how your lips look. They look like >your< lips if that makes sense, and they really suit your features.

Filler migration depends on the person. Migration might happen to you every time you do lip filler because that just happens to be your body's reaction to having a foreign substance injected (a substance your body didn't naturally make). For some people, their bodies dissolve the filler over time; for others, the filler "moves" as the tissue of the lips regenerates over time. You use your lips every day and, like all skin, it sheds and grows new layers. It's recommended to dissolve old filler before getting new filler. More people do it than you might think; no one documents it because it's not fun XD The brusing that happened the first time... I really think the person that did it was inexperienced and a little too aggressive. x_x All bodies are different and professionals can only offer you generalized advice. Everyone should pay close attention to how your body reacts to different things.

A bit off topic...in Croatian we have the same expression "hold your thumbs". That thought keeps my brain occupied so I don't have to think about lip fillers- I just wanted to lift the corners of my lips, but now...I'm not so sure I would ever decide to do it. Nevertheless, I hope everything will be fine in your case. "Holding my thumbs"/"Keeping my fingers crossed"....whatever you need 😉 Love from Croatia 💙 P.S. I wrote this comment at the beginning of the video....🤦🏻‍♀️ Now I'll watch on to see what exactly happened 😂 Alright then...I know that you're the one making decisions, but if may say something: beauty is usually "measured" by symmetry and proportions. Well, in my humble opinion, your lips really suit you. They are proportional with everything else on your face. You have beautiful nose, not too small, not too big, your lips are in proportion with them. They are just perfect. Tbh, I'm always staring at you because I cannot believe how can someone be so beautiful. Those were my two cents on that topic 😊
