Was actually worth the three bucks to rent it off amazon and watch with you guys haha. Someone is there wondering why they got a sudden surge of searches for it on netflix and rentals on amazon xD I kind of wish there was a bit more ghost lore. Definitely want to know what or why the ghost died, how he was involved in the battle, what and where the keys came from, and the weird crossover of knowledge about clocks and ghosts, and keys giving the ability to understand animals? I feel like there is a weird potential there for a decent origin story thats less campy than this movie. On a similar note, if you havent seen it, and can find it somewhere, The Lady In White, is a great, very creepy, pretty disturbing movie, for it being told from a kids perspective and for when it came out. Im not hugely into horror but i loved how spooky and frightening it was. Definitely not a kids movie, but it captured the feeling of halloween. So if you want something to balance out the campyness of this ghost story, i reccomend that one.Even if you dont Practical Flix it.

I haven't seen the video yet but I just wanna say that it's not a Casper rip off! It is based on a book by Ottfried Preußler that was written in 1966, well before Casper came out. (I grew up with the story and it bugged me a bit that you called it a Casper rip off in the description)
