‪@coopercarter‬ shows you a simple way to lift your leads live (and maybe save on some CPU!) with more complex delay blocks taking the place of a delay and reverb.

Great playing Cooper. Love how such a simple layout allows for amazing sound and versatility with pocket filling rhythm or lead.

I have always like Queensryche lead tone delay on their Operation Mindcrime album. Both their clean and lead sounds brilliant. BTW, I'm really enjoying your course on the FM9, I'm learning allot about the unit.

G66 has some great KZfaqrs demoing their Fractal gear, it's worth checking out their pages too for additional content.

Aurora is my favorite delay now (which makes sense because the Halo is my favorite delay pedal) and I use it more often than not. However, specifically on the FM9, it should be noted that normal delay and reverb blocks use *effectively* no CPU. It's just incredible how powerful and flexible the Fractal units are.

Hi Cooper, great job as usual, thanks. I noticed that the available preset is for FM9 only. I wonder if same version for FM3 is available as well...

Hey Cooper, I set my bpm per song so that both the drummer and I can make sure we're at the right temp. So tap tempo isn't in my future. Given that, what would you recommend setting the delays at to get a similar experience? Thanks! Cancel that. For others wondering the same, it appears that when he changed the tempo, the delay times immediately changed to 180ms/240ms. So you can just manually set the delay times yourself....i believe.

Thanks for this...please show us Neal Schon's delay settings and how he uses them live. He is the king of delay and control , sounds absolutely huge yet not in the way of his solos. I know he gains it with a pedal but the actual settings he uses, ms, type, how many delays, etc! He told me once he taps in but how can you do that with multi delays?

Hi, thanks for all your videos. Would love to see a series on how to record with the fractal. Re-amping in a daw, is there a way to use it as a plug in, dry sounds and wet sounds to separate tracks, the unit as an interface, and the unit connected to another interface for re-amping or a wet recorded sound. For me, all in the box, to get a standard type sound not reliant on an amp, cabinets or mics. Thanks.

When playing live or a home what is the best amp to put this through? I would imagine a stereo set up is best. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

On another topic. I ran into a problem when using cc code to change the program on the FM9. Typical midi numbers run fro 0 to 127. If I want to add more cc numbers above the 127 what is the method?

I am not sure, if I have understood this thing. Do I really have to change the tap tempo to get the right sound? That sounds a bit wrong for me. I don't want to use the tap tempo to create a good sound. I want to use the tap tempo for other things.

You can manually set the tempo of each repeat if you'd like just like the stock delay block! Just click the TEMPO 1 box and click option NONE. Then type in your own on the knob above it. Rinse and repeat.
