Taking the Koyker 500 loader off the 4020. The loader is mainly used for moving round bales off the field during the summer month's so its time for it to come off. Its about a 10 minute job on and off so if needed I can put it back on quick. This is actually the longest its been on. I prefer not to have it on for planting season and this winter I need to fix some hydraulic leaks on the tractor so might as well get it off and out of the way! Thanks for watching!

Thanks Rodney for the heads up. It would sure be nice to not have to use a stick to check the fuel level!

I looked at these tractors a bit as a cheap pull tractor. Still shocks me a bit how much a good condition 4020 will bring. great update.

Problem is they are a "handy" size tractor and yes they hold their value!!! Thanks for watching Danny!

Those are all great tractors. I have had a 3010, the 4020 a 4030, a 4430, a 4440 and the 6400. Miss the 4440, but I dont need a big horse tractor anymore. I am currently searching for a 7400 or 7600 for the baler and chopper.

We used to have a John Deere 2010 with a John Deere 46 loader it was supposed to be a quick attach but, it still took 20 minutes minimum to get the loader off. I was spoiled as a child with big skidloaders and I'll never use a loader tractor again until I buy a Fendt 512 with a loader.

I prefer the skid loader but the loader on the 4020 is nice or moving hay off the field!

That I have to agree with cause you can't put a wagon behind a skid loader.

you need to sell that koyker 500, and get a westendorf wl-42, you wanna talk about fast mounting and dismounting, we have 2 wl-42s, and they are great, and we have a 4020, and dad said the front axle wasnt heavy duty enough for a loader, so you might want to look into a a beefer front axle, we put a battery disconnect on ours, but we dont use ours very much
@larsonvalleyfarm
@larsonvalleyfarm 7 жыл бұрын
Yaeh I know guys with the same loader as you! It would be nice but I'll use what I have, its paid for! lol... If the front axle breaks on hear I will put a 30/40 series front axle on. Thats what the neighbor did on his 4320!
@cjfarms2239
@cjfarms2239 7 жыл бұрын
they have been around since at least 1979, we got our first wl-42 in 79' with a 2-135 white, which is now on our 986, and true if its paid for, its good

what do you push snow with? Come on, the cardboard battery box is cool
@larsonvalleyfarm
@larsonvalleyfarm 7 жыл бұрын
Lol, gotta love the cardboard battery box that the starter came in! I use the skid loader for moving snow and doing all the feeding. I go with the idea of only starting one engine in the winter if at all possible. The skid is so much more handy for loader work! the 4020 on ice is worthless with out the tire chains and I hate putting them on!
@mathman1923
@mathman1923 7 жыл бұрын
the skid steer works OK without chains? I do agree it is nicer to only have to screw with one engine in the winter for sure
@larsonvalleyfarm
@larsonvalleyfarm 7 жыл бұрын
I put chains on the rear tires of the skid once the ground freezes, and they stay on until it gets muddy in the spring, then I put the tracks on if needed!

How'd you like the 4440? And why'd you sell it?
@larsonvalleyfarm
@larsonvalleyfarm 7 жыл бұрын
I loved the 4440,it had a reman 160 hp engine in it. Tractor only had 5000 origional hours. I sold it because I have switched to no-till so I dont need a big hp tractor anymore

7710 is a great all around tractor. and easy on fuel! My cousin is all Ford/New Holland! I have a video on here of me running his NH 8160

larsonvalleyfarm I think that was the first video of yours I watched or one around the time that one came out and for the 7710 where we just did hay and cattle on abt 120+/- acres w/ 40 pasture and the rest hay it was our big tractor and even in the hills of eastern Ohio it did great with a NH 10ft discbine. I hated when my grandpa sold it but someday when I have my own farm I'll get one again
