That was just about how I played it. My reasoning was that you have to go through a metal detector when you enter a courthouse. So Agro could not have smuggeld it in without anyone noticing. Therefore I completly ruled out the option of him still having the bust and tried everything else.

When choices like this come up I'm like "oh, it's the most dramatic and outrageous option isn't it" and select that (i.e "it's literally here in this courtroom) and it's basically always right.

Whenever Phoenix got the ultimate penalty, I always shouted this: FALLLLCOOOONNNNNNNNNN PAAAAWWWWCHHHHHH!!!

I love these types of videos that show all the "wrong" options lol, often I'll save and choose the wrong option simply because of how funny it is! 😂Thankfully the PC version lets you save without exiting and having to go through the main menu and all the crap again, so you can just save and reload at any time. I remember playing these games on the DS and how annoying it was, having to save and exit to the main menu then load (and make sure to reset the game if I got too many times wrong). So convuluted.
