It's written like one of the fun episodes of X Files...only all of the Lone Gunman episodes are fun. Why didn't they get more seasons?! Criminal

This is episode 4. It aired on March 18, 2001. Wikipedia Summary: "While searching for a water-powered car, the Gunmen encounter missile silos, rude government clerks, and cows." The title is a take on a 1992 film called "Like Water for Chocolate".

I am watching this show's episodes finally and it is really cool. Don't know why it doesn't get much credit or not known. I love all the main characters (and man Yves is hot!). The plots are intricate. The only things I don't dig as much are the music and lack of seriousness. Some funny scenes are a good spice but I feel they are overly used. Man such a shame, this could go on to become a great show.

Yeah it’s really cool for sure, I’m rewatching the series, it’s a shame it didn’t get more episodes made and it should’ve made it bigger than it did, and yeah Yves is hot aha😂👍🏻

Gotta say I wouldn't mind trying out the video game Langley is playing at the start. Looks like Age of Empires but he described it as having Civilization elements where you start with an ancient civ.

The show poked fun at the US government at a time when the US government needed as much credibility as it could get. The events of 9/11 happened during the middle of the first season and the show's pilot episode was about the events of 9/11 6 months before they happened, need I say more?

This is referring to the Stanley Meyer water fuel cell. Dates are wrong though. He was killed much more recently. Another wrong thing is the 9/11 reenactment in the pilot issue; the release date was in springtime 2011. Before the WTC attacks!

The pilot episode about the plane going into the World Trade center was not a "re-enactment", it was aired March 4, 2001 months before the attack.

@@WurzelGurnage Exactly, that is what the story came from not 911. The writer had read all the Church Commission stuff, he knew about MK Ultra and all the other crap the CIA had done just so he could make the X-Files.

They left the jack at home to make room for their NVGs. What NERDS! The X-Files could be a little to serious, the Lone Gunmen lightened up the series and became the best part of the franchise. The ratings took a dip, FOX went Charlie Sierra, didn’t run the Lone Gunmen through the summer and dropped the ball. The Lone Gunmen could have lasted at least 7 seasons. I like the Lone Gunmen far better than the X-Files.

"When the Chinese attacked Pearl Harbor." Because the Chinese needed to bring the US into the war on their side, so they disguised themselves as the Japanese and attacked Pearl Harbor. The US responded by attacking Japan and the Chinese were able to win the war.

honestly this is the worst ending I've ever seen. It makes zero sense "There would be more cars on the road, more roads being built" You mean like the world is now but adding pollution to it. I would have to her to pound sand and taken the car. Typical Woman moment
