I used to watch these films with my dear old Dad back in Kent ENGLAND in the 1950s, on an old PYE TV with a 14 inch screen. He passed away over 30 years ago and I live alone in the world, an old man of 78 years, what wonderful memories this old Western brings back. Thank you!!!!!

I'm 73 and parents are gone, never had siblings or other relatives. My 2 kids live in different cities for their jobs. I actually like being a 'loner' though. I enjoy each day as I'm glad to be alive. Hi from west coast Canada.

even at 66 years old being disabled give3es me time to watch great TV shows like this all the time or runing trains on my train layouts or running RC cars outside whenever i\m able to, difficult at having to use a walker to to get around my apartment or going outside.

I'm a little older than you and had major surgeries that took me all winter to deal with. I am just now nearly back to original power -bedridden for months in hospital, walker to learn how to walk again, switched to cane for over a month, and then just relied on furniture and walls for support. I'm very stubborn but didn't realize I would get back strength to walk normally again. Trick was to keep moving because I wound up being a couch potato more than I should. Watched a lot of old YT as I cancelled my TV satellite service over 20 years ago as only 'crap' programming mostly. Reliving some of my youth through these old shows and getting a chuckle again. Look after yourself and remember the more you can exercise and move, the stronger you will get.

Big thanks for this. These episodes were well written, acted. and photographed. Looking back if I had to single out the most note worthy part of these films, I would point to Jay Silverheels' very appealing, subdued and dignified acting His presence just radiates on the screen. A truly wonderful actor here.

Take me back to the days of yesteryear where I watched The Lone Ranger in black and white with my grandma and grandpa in the 1960s. Then a few hands of dominoes and that was our entertainment for the day. LOL

The Lone Ranger, Hop-A-Long and Davey Crockett were basic foder at the place parents safely parked the kids on a Saturday afternoon. Built up character in the kids who watched it and an 'ideal' spirit for life. Haven't seen this in till now in 60 yrs. Excellent way to time travel with out a machine.

Excellent stuff! Catching up on the many episodes missed in our small northern Quebec theatre . . . and delighted by the ones I recall. Admission Cost was .25 cents for two features & the inbetween stuff. Perfect '100% safe cheap afternoons day care for drop-off parents and the kids spent down-time trading comic books. Don't know what the girls did. Those were the days when even boys were men and knew it with the screen stars we followed . . .

Another one I grew up with, also grew up with horses and I’m thinking this must have been such fun to make. My dad’s favorite joke ; Indians approaching Lone Ranger says “ what do we do now Tonto? “ Tonto replies “ what do you mean we paleface?”

Dad got up and went to work, which woke up mom and, secretly, me. Once he was gone and she went back to bed it was time. Remember the Indian head on the TV screen before the station's broadcast began? It usually took about 5 more minutes before 'The Lone Ranger' came on. Really got into it. The first time I ever distrusted my mother was when she came up with some nonsense about the theme song having to do with some ancient Italian and something called 'opera'. Always liked Moore's voice or way of speaking or whatever it was. Hey Cult Cinema Classics, it wasn't his 'native American partner', it was his 'faithful Indian companion'. Before men lost their testosterone these things were understood.

You had a smart cookie for a Mom! Cartoons are how I started out learning English and developed an appreciation for opera along the way. 'William Tell is an opera written by the Italian composer Gioachino Rossini which premiered in 1829. This section of the overture has been used in many many places, such as in Looney Tunes and Disney cartoons, most famously as the theme music for The Lone Ranger.'

My girlfriend's horse was named 'Trigger' and it always reminded me of this show. I rode her horse since the other option was her older brother's horse called 'TINY' and he was anything but tiny. Little did I realize then that Tiny was the sweet one and Trigger was a devil. Never judge a horse by its size!

Me and my 10 month older brother would after watching a episode would get on our stick horses and play out what was on the episode, same with have fun will travel. Our horses was just a broom handle with a horse head on them, my Mammaw got them at Powell's .5¢& .10¢ store down town. We'd play for hours, with them and our metal cap pistols.

It would be a lot of work to manually translate each show. We have to rely on the automatic translation from Google(?). At least they are better than no captions.
