I was there too. Saw Prince 3 times during that residency. If memory serves me right, he came back for an after-show performance that night as well.

What an absolute master of the guitar... Such a tasteful solo in the vein of someone like George Benson. Certainly the most impressive vocabulary on guitar of any player I've seen in my lifetime. Prince just played every style of musically so brilliantly.

I've been a fan of both musicians for many years now, and I have only just discovered they had performed together. I love both but they are both (or were both, RIP Prince), massively confident and sometimes egotistic powerhouses so I never thought they would get along nor collaborate on anything let alone a Beatles song. Yet,here this video is to prove me wrong. I envy the audience of this crowd. Absolutely amazing! I love and miss Prince and wish I could have seen him before he passed. What an icon, and what a duo ❤️❤️❤️

Serena Short Stumbled upon yet another priceless gem!!! So much I have missed out on thru the years just because I didn't know the road he took until after his passing and his music and videos started appearing here. I understand why he didn't allow it at the time, but I gotta say, a lot of us just didn't know where all that genius had taken him!! Prime example right here!! Absolute musical arranging genius!!! Remarkable and irreplaceable artist!!!! I have always loved the melody of this song, but this man took it and re-arranged it and put a groove on it that too it to a whole new level!!!!!! So glad I found this, even if i! is 5 years later!!! This is timeless.... Thank you so much for posting it!!!

I was there for this! An amazing moment that I still think about. So glad someone actually captured it on film. Elton was an audience member with David that night and Prince invited him up on stage to sing. A real treat!
