Werewolves, cyborgs, killers. They're all scary but there is a certain fear reserved for Lovecraftian horrors such as this. Alien infections, an otherworldy virus, hive minds... that's what strikes the heart in such a foreign way the mind cannot comprehend but want to destroy them James Gunn and John Carpenter should make a Dead Space or Bloodborne film.

I would say the thing. It seems to be able to assimilate a diverse range of lifeforms, nothing to say it couldn’t easily also assimilate the long one and any of it’s hosts. Jesus that movie would’ve been short if it had landed anywhere else in the world.

I believe the thing is more advanced and also those infected aren’t connected to a primary host but can move independently thereby outnumbering and able to outsmart the long one. The long one does have some offensive features that can prove to be an obstacle the thing would have to overcome in its primary host

The lovecraft lore is kinda out of place in the setting (at least when it comes to the ghouls), but the swampfolk (or ghouls in general) could be a nice video.

tekelodoyo yes i should have mentioned the swamp folk but i was mostly talking about the main fallout 3 game not the dlc theres a quest with the book from the dlc at the dunwich building or borers i don’t remember exactly but the dlc does explain more than that small location in the main game i hope he covers it!

Just recently watched this little horror thriller and, despite some of the gory, disgustingly sick effects and makeup, I still thought that the film was a hilarious masterpiece! For all the creepy elements throughout, the balance of comedic quips and situations was handled extremely well!

I think this movie inspirated the anime "parasyte". The protagonist of that anime even survive a infection in a similar way as the girl in this movie. You guys might want to check that anime out, its really good.

Vampire Count the parasite series actually came out in the 80s as a manga first. Then 20 + years later a finally got adapted to an anime. But yeah the fucking slug things definitely remind me of parasite a lot. Good call

Yeah when i saw this movie when it came out it immediately felt like a night of the creeps rip off. Luckily they had this as a horror comedy while night of the creeps was trying to be more serious in there horror. And the infected were mindless and unable to speak they just wanted to spread the infection. It never acted as a hive mind.

I live in a small town like wheelsy. I first saw this movie when I was 9 by accident. It traumatized me for 5 years, I would have night terrors because of this movie.

Having binge watched every virus episode, I would really like to see the life form from 'Splinter' explained as it (like a virus) takes over the hosts body spreading from victim to victim. I really liked this movie as a kid. It terrified me at first but for some reason I kept rewatching until it wasn't scary. But I still have vivid memories that kinda terrify me. Like the part with that one song playing and the slithers covering the truck

FilmComicsExplained the dragon killer haha Him & Christian bale were awesome in the movie. I liked his paramilitary group & the way they killed the dragons. Underrated apocalypse movie in my opinion

For whatever reason I remember this movie not getting a lot of love from friends of mine. I avoided it until it just happened to come on either Starz or Encore one night and absolutely loved it. I asked my friends why they thought it sucked and they couldn’t give me a straight answer. It was around then I started making my own assessments and realized not everyone’s judgement matched my own as far as movies are concerned!

as a kid‚ this movie scared me so much‚ although i barely remember anything in it‚ i definitely remember the cover‚ the slug things going into people’s mouths and the part when the man got spilt in half.
