This is a standard practice in rescue, as this is the age they are adopted out and legally we cannot adopt out a dog that is unaltered. It's been done for decades.

@@RockstarRescue thanks for the reply. So it's not your choice. I understand. Anyway, it's beyond me how can any veterinarian could agree that that's a good practice. It's like spaying/neutering a 2 yo human kid. It's absurd. Let them properly develop first. I was involved in rescues for many years, we made adopters sign agreements that the dog must be spayed /neutered before reaching the age of X. That was done for the proper development of the dogs and their well-being. That being said, thank you for rescuing these precious dogs, they are so sweet beautiful!
