At 48 and just getting back into dirt bikes, this screams that I need to get in shape. I don't have rocks or hills like that in IL, but that looks grueling. I'm looking forward to spring weather so I can get out there.

Rule of thumb, if I can't walk up it I ain't good enough to ride up it, well done guys.

My hat goes off to you, seems like the older I get the less I want to ride like you are, I’m looking for nice easy trails with maybe MAYBE I hard technical hill or two, me and a good friend both stopped vintage mx Racing and bought a KTM and a Husqvarna both 300 and started trail riding but I’m 63 and my buddy is like 40 so he is still got that crazy blood but I seem to be slowing down but still having a blast , thanks for the video

Man you are a beast on that machine. Unreal riding video yet again. One day I’ll get there. Love watching all your vids. Also enjoyed how you told what gear you were going in on some of the hill climbs and when you changed. Helped for newer riders like myself see how you would tackle something like that
@offroad80554 жыл бұрын
Wayyyyyy above my pay grade! First of all that ridge at the 6:00 mark had me freaking out, but that thing you called a trail towards the end....when you looked down at your broken boot...that was a long way down. My hat's off to ya. You handled it. I have no desire to ever ride trails that difficult. The Tecate trip was more my style (minus the crazy passing). Great vid!!!👍🤘👊
@dougdill94584 жыл бұрын
That was some insane riding I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to attempt even though the beauty is spectacular I like rocks but that was just insane ty Doug Gunnison CO

Travis, I’ve herd your commentary on a vid I recently watched of yours hearing you say keep that rear wheel rolling. I sometimes stop for a second, look, then coach myself from a Trial’s riders POV before dippin in. It really surprises me what is possible and the How well listening to my own advise goes .

I like how you're open about your fears. Because every other is going througt everything so easily then I'm like well I'm just gonna stop riding at this point because that'd scare the crap out of me. But with you're videos, I'm like yeah, that's scary and if he says it too, then I'm just normal. And you teach me to go at it even if I'm scared, "it's not gonna get better staying down here". And it's good, I like it, your videos are helpful. Cheers from france.

@AaLl-jw7ci4 жыл бұрын
Fantastic trail! While its been said many times before, after seeing your video it warrants saying again, "Just think of (visualize) any hill you're on as just a flat section of trail while you're riding it." Ignoring the fact you're on an incline, to the maximum extend possible (gravity is still always in play) will help calm the nerves, lessen fears, and improve the likelihood of staying upright and even enjoying these sections of your rides.

At 26:01, while you are flipping through the trail register, just above your thumb there is the name "Pat Zang X3", one of our eagle eyed club members saw it. Pat was a Lost Coyote MC member, hell of a rider and hell of a person. He passed away suddenly in Oct 2018. RIP Pat!

Hey Mike, I was hoping somebody would see their name or the name of a friend in the book when I filmed that Sounds like he was an awesome guy

LOLOLOLOL Complain, complain, complain.... you sound like me. I'd love to ride that up until I got up until the point where I got up there and got tired. Then I'd begin to complain just like you. Those trails are amazing and definitely above the pay grade of 95% of riders. Great job, keep it up as I'm living vicariously through your videos right now.
@jerseyjeeper15754 жыл бұрын
I watched this again.. yup, still scared the shit out of me when you were on that knife edge ridge. I was on a small one last week and reached up to adjust goggles and almost went over. Doing it on that mountain would surely be many broken bones or death.
