yup, it's the continued downplaying of alter ego/thematic continuity, plus the complexity creep that continues to grow, and the difficulty spiking that makes it look like they're catering more to hardcore players. all three combined had me knock the game down to an 8 (still very good) because it's just not living up to the promise for us :(

@@rahdo Hate to say it, but I've got Galaxies Most Wanted plus a couple hero packs just sitting on the shelf still in shrink. Not sure I'm going to go any further with Champions.

@@rahdo yeah my experience is pretty similar, sadly. I mostly play expert and even I found GMW way too difficult. it really narrowed the choices available too in that felt like many hero/aspect combos just couldn’t have success in a lot of the scenarios. The lack of alter-ego stuff does feel like such a cool missed opportunity. Still they could turn it around! One of the advantages of a living game. Hopefully they do.

It looks easier, so if SI is too hard/harsh/brainburning then The LOOP is better. I will support the claim that SI is masterpiece, but the question is: would you play Mozart on friday party?
