The Abita Springs Opry is a series of music concerts held six times a year and is produced by a nonprofit organization, Abita Opry Inc. The show has the mission of preserving and presenting Louisiana "Roots" music.

Great thanks 👍🙏 Loose Marbles is a band with different musicians. I think. Always other who I know from other bands. Only Michael Magro is always present.

But beautifully played and with such 'feel'. The clarinet is very nice and I always have enjoyed Julie on bass whenever I've seen her.

I so enjoy these performances, and I love what Brian Gowland says at the end about 2,000 musicians and 5,000 bands. Such a treat and such a pleasure! Thank you, Alice.

I'm am really sick of that fat mealy mouth with his "dats", "yalls'" and robo yellin' over a beautiful song (Smile the While ..... - WWI vintage) Great festival but they need a better "announcer", yall!

I would agree 100% on that as Michael Magro irradiates a specific sensibility so that whatever members are onboard Marbles it takes the best of them. For example, Marla Dixon is magnificent on her own, though, but when with Magro in Marbles she is even better than what her typically high standards provide to us all. I would only object that Magro's Loose Marbles do not perform more often ... .

@@stewartfenton7660 *This* century. Michael first had the idea of forming his band - The Loose Marbles - in about 2004, even before he moved to New Orleans. As for living through the centuries, I have been around since Neville Chamberlain was Prime Minister of the U.K., so with luck I may live to clock up a century myself!
