'The Hunt for Gollum' is a working title and I guess it's misdirection. It's odd that this is the first of two films because Aragorn only captures Gollum about a year before the main story begins. On the other hand, the hunt itself is not very eventful. I think there is likely to be a lot of Aragorn and Arwen and perhaps, some invented adventure for them (assuming Arwen stays like in the film as opposed to book-Arwen, who mainly looks pretty and does embroidery). That would leave the setting-out of the Nazgul and their dealings with Saruman and Wormtongue for the second film. We know Aragorn has met them and also that he enters Moria. There is plenty of material albeit much of it is in Unfinished Tales -- Warners absolutely has to license that if they are not to repeat Amazon's mistakes. All depends on the creative vision PJ and co bring to the party, but for now let's be hopeful.

Well, I feel old! There are things missing, granted, in the original LOTR, but I can't see anyone doing it better than what we ended up with. Gollum....hmmm. What are we going to do with the characters, for sure? The new actors would always be unfavorably compared to the originals. I hope we will be happily surprised. So good to hear from you!
