Only cult leaders make you feel guilty for leaving. I’ve learnt that if God leads you to leave a church, it’s His way of protecting you He is our Good Shepherd. This doesn’t always mean something is wrong with the church He’s told you to leave, your assignment there might be done, and it’s time to move on. There’s no place in the Bible where it says you have to stay in one fellowship for the entirety of your existence, God could lead you to move cities, countries, and or continents which requires joining a new church. However, I find that other times God can tell you to leave a church because it’s been infiltrated by corruption, strange doctrines, false prophets, and abusers. Whatever the reason, leave because the safest place to be is in His will.

Some of us need to leave some of these workplaces and find new ones. Amen.

They started playing mind games with me. I faithfully served for almost 7 years. I obeyed God and he has blessed me to live🙌🏾🙏🏽🙌🏾❤️.

Amen!!!!! I left my church in December 2019 and I remember because I still have my checkbook with the last tithe I wrote to that church. After being an active member of churches throughout my military travels since 1987 I came to the conclusion by 1999 that something just wasn't right but I pressed on to stay. In 2000 I resigned from all the ministries that I was volunteering in and returned to studying the Bible on my own like I used to before joining that mega church and by the end of 2019 I was done with four walled church membership because I saw that It was mostly the pastors and those directly connected to them we're getting the blessings the way it was being taught in church. So I substituted my tithes with giving to the homeless & poor people that I encountered buying them groceries paying for the have rooms in hotels giving them rides to places and even letting one particular homeless lady that I met at the mega church stay in my home for a few nights. My life changed & elevated significantly! Tiphani, just this moment of watching your short I have realized that I was in God's Will and doing and serving him more effectively than giving tithes and offerings and serving in a four-walled church. Thank you for your bold obedience!

Praise God! I left a church because God said get out of there. There were so many red flags that I ignored, but praise be to God he snatched me out.

How true is that!!!! I left a demonic church 8 yrs ago and all hell broke loose. They cursed me, held prayer nights just to pray against me, attacked me in my dreams, summoned me back in my dreams, threatened me that leaving them meant having no grace over my life and family ohhh boy. I have gone through lots of warfare because I blindly joined a cult and getting out of it was God's grace. Behold am still here, covered by God indeed and no weapon fashioned against me will prosper. The church members all hated me and abandoned me, I was called rebellious for seeking truth and maturing in my walk with God. We are not slaves to the devil and his prophets. This is so true! They will call you a Church Hopper. Just because we left them doesn’t mean we aren’t Saved and love the Lord. We belong to God not people! Maybe they’ll believe it Someday!

I went to a church where a pastor told me , you cannot leave a church without writing a letter. I went to a church where the pastor told me if i leave i will be uncovered (who will cover you know?, you need the pastor guidance) . I went to a church that pastor said if u leave , you risk yourself being expose to a "vagabond spirit" where u would be destined to constant roam. I went to a church where if you were moved by the Holy spirit during your worship to speak to one of the members about what God had told you to tell them, you had to go thru the pastor first. If you would move when the Holy Spirit said move to speak, You were out of order !!!! Everything in decency and in order, you are not in order if you do not to go by church order! I went to a church where if you questioned the pastor, you automatically have the spirit of Jezebel and or rebellion, and must repent and apologize to the pastor and church. I went to a church that if you decided to leave and come back, you must stand in front of the church say why you left, why you returned and the lesson you learned. I went to a church that if a member left, you are no longer allowed to talk to that member. If you do you will be rebuked by the pastor, you are in the spirit of rebellion. And how dare you go against the person that GOD had assigned over you to WATCH OVER YOUR SOUL! How dare you. Oh. And best believe this information will be in their sermon to low key jab you , and make you feel Shame for doing so. No current member should talk to an EX member of the church. i went to that church, I no longer do now. That church is no longer a church... God shut it down.

God told me to leave the church I use to go, people I thought they have prayer life acted differently One person said to me, God will never tell you to leave the church, this is His home, I told her actually I am His home, my heart is His home … she said, don’t harden your heart, then I pray Lord please help me not to be offended, as long as I obey Him that is ok. Thank you for saying this, because I left my church. It took a lot of strength to do this. The leader there actually said that people who leave will not prosper. He also stated that the mentality of the people were that once you leave, no one will want anything to do with you. I am free of that place and thank God for opening my eyes sooner.

Thank you for being bold and speaking up about the organization. Husband and I left and people have said some crazy things to us, but we trust God. I told my hubby one morning I was praying and seeking God about a covering and I heard God was my covering. It’s funny how some organizations program you to feel like you won’t do well unless you are attached to them. Thank God for revelation and freedom in Him.

If you’re leaving a certain congregation it’s not to go and sit at home though. God wants us to congregate and worship Him corporately (as a body together) so ,when you leave, also ask God to reveal to you the people He has already provided for you to congregate and worship with . I was at a church for12 - 14 year's off and on and I knew simething was wrong in my Spirit. I wasnt growing . It was a small church, but I wanted to be faithful to God because that is how I was taught. To be at church all the time. I was fed rotten milk for 14 years. I spoke to the Pastor that I wanted to learn about the schemes of the devil because somehting was missing. How could i know scripture and serve in church..etc and still be in defeat. He never wanted to teach about it. I then asked God to guide me to a church to be fed meat which I currently am at. Revelation Church LA. Its hard at first becauze being taught only religious things and milk and bible stories but no revelation. It took about 2 years for me to begin to grasp and understand the Spiritual Realm. When going to a ‘church’ during lock down - was the only one in my area that stayed open so I thought it was great bcos of that - but the pastor was money hungry when they started to call me up ‘for my tithe’ I started to feel this isn’t right as I’m a single parent so I prayed. Later that day I fell into an open vision during a nap and I saw a sheep hooked up to a lot of tubes when I looked where they went they were connected to a big farmyard milking machinery. I knew the Lord was telling me his sheep were being milked and he wasn’t pleased. I stood up in Their ‘leadership meeeting’ the next week and told them I don’t believe in tithing. I was told to leave the following week and not come Back over an argument the pastor picked on me cos I was 5 minutes late to set up the worship. No problem Thank You Jesus for delivering me 🙌 I later broke my ankle and I was actually thinking of that pastor as the time it felt like a demonic attack : Im soo glad I left though and now I give to the poor as taught by Kevin Ewing. Amen! I left mine years ago and was told God was gonna condemn me. I was like no, God gonna condemn y’all, especially with the pastor sleeping with some of the members with my cousin being one of them. My husband and I were faithful tithers and it was ironic that the pastor made us so called, part of the 12 leaders of the church (12 tribes) and I found out every person or couple he made a leader paid a large amount of tithe. One of the leaders were a professional athlete. When we left, it was such a blessing. My husband and I were in our early twenties and looking back, I thank you God for placing it on my heart to leave

Been there! My ex pastor told the people I was a witch and I have put a spell on my husband and that they must stay away from me. Im so glad you posted this...i Literally grabbed my stuff 2nd week of April... and was in fasting and prayer . The Lord SHIFT AND RUN. Doctrines based on control and manipulation can be tried as a federal offence as 'under sex trafficking' and also mental and emotional abuse. Theres nothing like seeing the Lord SET SOMEONE FREE through the transforming power of His grace and word... and then setting them free to SEEK THE LORD AS TO HOW TO FURTHER DEVELOP AS AN INDIVIDUAL. Good teachers and counsellors should encourage that. The Prophetic mantle should fuel and encourage and expound the persons mind to follow the Lord... too often vulnerable people are exploited manipulated and controlled.
