Yui is not the only character that, with only a few minuts of screentime in just one chapter, her influence spreads through the rest of the series.
This time is the turn of the proffressor Naoko Akagi, Ritsuko's mother and chief scientist of GEHIRN, NERV's precursor organization. Naoko is best known for being the main scientist in charge of the project "E" to create the EVA, and for being the creator of the system MAGI, the set of supercomputers that controls NERV and Tokyo 3. But it's possible that these computers are more organics that they seem...
