Death by Stereo Great reaction To one of my favorite Vampire movies. This was the first of many movies that Corey Haim and Corey Feldman made together, the we're known as the two Corey's. Another great vampire movie from the 80's is Fright Night (1985)

Michael is played by Jason Patric. He is the son of Jason Miller, who played the struggling priest in "The Exorcist." He is also the grandson of Hollywood actor and entertainer Jackie Gleason from 50's 60's TV show "The Honeymooners," as Ralph Kramden and starred in the film "Gigot." Gleason also had a live variety show set in Miami Beach.

What a lot of people also miss was the beware of dog sign on the gate at Max's house. Its one more thing to throw someone off the trail and just make you think Lucy just made a stupid mistake.

Iconic movie 😂 So glad you watched and enjoyed it! A few years ago, I saw it in the theatre, and it was a blast lol. Actually yes I remember thinking that this movie is an excellent encapsulation of the ‘80s. Peak indeed!

There's another vampire movie that came out a couple after this one called Near Dark. It didn't get much attention at the time because it was overshadowed by this movie.

Barely a minute in and I'm like Flounder. "Oh boy, is this great!" "A young Jack Bauer". Holy cow. I was living at home for a spell when I was 23 or so and my Pop, (we never missed a "monster" movie since I was 5) asked me "Do you want to go see Donald Sutherland's kid play a vampire?" Oh yeah. I haven't taken my eyes off him since. There truly is no better actor of this generation. I would literally watch this man read a recipe card. It's said that in the opening credits, when they asked for locals to come down for the shoot, they had a huge trailer of clothes for them. Turned out, they didn't need them and everyone you see, came as they were. No further embellishment needed. I lived outside SF in 1986 and have some very fond memories of the style of the area. Kiefer actually had the least amount of dialogue of anyone in the film. He said, "They gave me great things to say at the end of scenes." Well, you skipped the Eddie Munster joke (I had hoped that you, for one, would actually get it. A dozen reactions and nobody laughs at that. Sad.) and you stepped on the last line, but overall, it was great fun watching this with you!

There are two more lost boys movies there pretty good

Grandpa knew about them the whole time because he was a half blood himself. He was just turned by a different vampire so when Max was killed it had no affect on him. Those bottles he is seen drinking are actually filled with animal blood. To fully turn it takes killing a human so he has not turned fully yet.

More than likely they were all mostly just going to be food for the gang since there is also a scene where a women is seen putting up a missing person poster of the security guard that was killed in the opening of the movie. One idea for what lost boys 2 was going to be featured a gang of all female vampires in the same area but this was scrapped for what the tribe would later become.
