You know how a lot of PG-13 films from the 80s would be hard Rs if rerated today? I think this is the reverse, this is surprisingly tame, I legit thought this was a PG-13 film.

I think had it not been for the F bombs it would have been PG-13. I believe one F bomb is an automatic PG-13. More than one is an automatic R.

GoddessOfWhim2003 I’ve always thought of this movie the same way. Good balance of dark and light. Another vampire movie from the 80s that I felt had the same balance is “Fright Night” (not the awful remake from a few years back).

I'm 31 now and when this film came out my mum brought the soundtrack and one Saturday night she put this track on good and n and stood me and my sister in the living room and said this is how it's done girls!!
