I love how THIS WHOLE CHAPTER is just a prequel because when you defeat the pink boss (the chase scene) he gets defeated the same place and the same pose. And when you start the whole game and you go to the cave part you will see him at the SAME PLACE

this story actually does take place early on in the story, right after the first boss of the normal story mode. it’s because this chapter was meant to be in the game but the creators removed it, that’s why it’s called the lost chapter

i like how in the Lost levels when you take damage do turn purple for a few seconds indicating the undertale battle with Sans because when you get hit by Sans attack your HP turns purple and the spiders and when you go into the forgotten levels for the first time it make Muffet noise in undertale

also merg the lost chapter is actually a removed chapter from the game, so it does take place early on in the story edit: accidently said last instead of lost

if shapes and beats had a level editor the only thing you would build with would be just shapes and beats

I hope we get to see more of the bits of story, like how the world is doing with blixer as seemingly an ally, or the origins of other things like the triangles, why did it create a black hole? How did that turn the spider pink? Is that how "blixer" (thats what the community calls him right?) become pink? What/who is the supportive voice (the one in born survivor, its not over, etc.) There's so much possibility for future updates.
