Peter and Wendy embody all that is wrong with modern love. The selfishness, idealism, stagnation- desire for a woman to never change and a man to grow up. This looks like a fabulous movie, also exploring escapism and the predatory nature of preserving or stealing innocence out of its proper time.

Then you analyzed it spot on. Peter represents the danger of never growing up. It's important to remember that Peter is locked into the body of a child, the body affects the mind. Even being alive for thousands of years if the body doesn't grow the mind will forever be that of a child, undoubtedly a twisted one in peters case. Children can be extremely cruel because to they are very selfish being who has yet to learn empathy and taking responsibility for their own actions, this can be treated through guidance from parents but peter never had any hence causing him to be a being who lives outside the moral grounds of society. His actions come of predatory because he is basically a hurt wild animal getting back at a society that failed him. And he does so by taking away children. Probably with good intentions initially but them growing up feels like a betrayal to him so he kills them, further aggravating his mental issues. It's an evil circle..

I was pretty disappointed by this film. The idea that they went for was incredibly complex and original and I think that with the right writers and actors, and with better visual effects, it could have been an incredible film. My issues with it are: 1. The discussions of Peter always returning and messing up the family is really interesting but just never fully developed. Also the whole Hook-Pan being like the same person/mind in a way (or at least that's how I interpreted it) is weird because it raises a lot of questions about a)Is the manipulation of Peter's age/looks compared to Hook's weird because they're like the same mind with the same ulterior motives. b) If this is all a figment of imagination kind of thing, why is she imagining this assault from Peter or Hook anyway? 2. Peter has 4 separate dynamics with the mothers and daughters of the Darling family, 3 of them being romantic but not one has any anti-climax, it all builds up and just kind of stays there. 3. Why are half the darling girls british and half american, and why is young wendy's accent so different to old wendy's? 4. Literally nothing happens with Berry, we literally do not understand it even though we see him guiding her onto how to fly. 5. I understand this is meant to be a more sinister Peter Pan but like... why all the neck kissing n shit without asking

Why does this looks like it was filmed by a college student on his iPhone?

This makes complete sense to me as a Peter Pan adaptation. I'm looking forward to seeing it. In the book, Peter Pan is the guy who forgets all about Tinker Bell after she dies. It's very clear that the way he's obsessed with living in the moment, and never growing up, is extremely unhealthy. Such a good book though.

I love this idea, but I wish the trailer was more creepy to match the story
