I can never forgive SM for all the lost opportunities/mistreatment of the members who left.Did you know that even John Oliver talked about how outstanding jaejoong is as a vocalist in his show in 2016/2017.I think if the same case happened in the west, the industry and general public would have been more vocal/supportive about the members who left and thing like blacklisting will never exist but since it's SK well , we knew how things went ,

Jaejoong was the main vocalist from the beginning. If you look at their first songs and acapella songs, it becomes clear. At first, Junsu's vocal cords were not in good condition and his doctor even said that he could not sing, but he recovered and the two of them continued as main vocals in the following songs. There are videos that analyze the TVXQ's songs based on vocals. It is clearly visible who is the main vocalist and who stands out in the songs. I'm surprised that new TVXQ fans are saying that Changmin was the main vocalist from the beginning and Jaejoong was just the group's visual.

the blacklist was recently removed or something along those lines after lee soo man left sm for good since jaejoong is able to exist on his youtube channel pretty peacefully(??)

Let me get this straight for the comments I just read. There was no such a position as "main" "lead" or anything as such back in the day. Tvxq's positions had other names and it didn't have comparison with the aspects kpop groups nowadays use to choose the positions international kpop fans know now. There wasn't a "main vocal" in tvxq or else the one who would step forward when asked to sing alone wouldn't be Junsu or he wouldn't be the one in the "best vocalist rankings" even at their group days. Junsu (and Jaejoong) would be the closest to a main vocal as you guys seem to only name it now... but their positions were not called that. Jaejoong was middle while Junsu was middle high. Do not mislead the author of the video nor go and mislead newer kpop fans who did not know about how this acapella group "worked". Thanks. Other than that, I will wait for the following parts. I don't consider the tvxq legacy to be lost. They are just being forgotten, like others older group in K-pop.

Kim jaejoong really make his name in japan insta pic with japanese celebrities,comment mostly japanese fans,brand deal,gig and endorsement,appear lot japanese variety's show,japanese drama,have house over that how much he promoted over there,got driver license and drive over there and got sucessful business over there as well.

For the record, the one who hold the main vocal position in the group as 5 was jaejoong.He was just too handsome, ppl thought somoene who is visual of the group can't be that good of vocalist lol

Always come down to money!?

I like the fact that you actually did research. However I have to say that the premise of this video is flawed since it's from a purely Western viewpoint in saying their legacy is lost. TVXQ found success at a time before social media was prominent therefore majority of their fame was contained in Asia where it still remains. You can find videos of Korean kids as young as tweens reacting to their songs/videos who know who they are since their songs are still popular especially in noraebangs. So if you're using the fact that international fans don't hype them up that's not accurate since they were never big outside of Asia in the first place. Also they started the 2nd gen and we're currently on the 4th or 5th. Of course they won't have the same relevance with youngsters. And tying it to the lawsuit is also moot as it's something that would've naturely happened anyway as groups age. There are several of their peers who were popular and didn't have lawsuits that aren't known to current gen kpop fans. Just saying...
