Noah meets up with Matt and Dave after receiving a message from a subscriber telling us about the "Lost Shore" of Nova Scotia. The area was a pure delight to paddle - but had it's fair share of work and weather. Hope you enjoy!

Used to always keep a length of duct tape wrapped around upper part of my paddle or some other cylindrical piece of kit for temporary patches. Also used a "Green Leaf" (old sweet shaped like a leaf, green and sugar-coated) to plug a hole in my canoe up on the Margaree. Livin' the dream lads...thanks for sharin' it.

Why did I know this would be in Guysborough County? It's wild and rugged and beautiful. You could travel for days and not meet a single soul.

What's the life expectancy of a canoe's fresh paint job on a Norther Scavenger adventure? Ear shot of the car? Or do you throw it off the roof and get it over quickly? Always awsome to watch guys! Thanks again.

Thanks Noah for a great trip. I grew up in Etobicoke, Ontario and moved to Nova Scotia 4 years ago. We live in Clark's Harbour now and I have been kayaking the backwoods. Nova Scotia has some of the most beautiful backcountry for sure. If you ever get a chance you should paddle out to the Cape Lighthouse. Thanks again for taking us along on your great adventures. Awesome.

I’m a Nova Scotian living in Denmark. I paddled a lot of NS back in the 80’s and 90’s. Still have a fishing camp on the St. Mary’s (if the salmon ever come back) and a vintage Chestnut Prospector. Years ago I paddled with Bill Mason’s son, Paul and daughter, Becky) (Path of the Paddle). Paul considered Nova Scotia’s rivers as some of the most technical in Canada (Narrow and boulders everywhere). Love the poling. We poled a fair bit and my ex use to teach poling clinics on the St. Mary’s. Love seeing old skills still being used. Your trip is bringing back lots of great memories. Thanks and “tight lines”.

Beautiful trip. Not exactly Labrador, but good enough🙂. Nice to see Dave join the team again. Man those were some dark mayflies. We have tiny, light yellow. Some medium, pale, almost greyish. Some larger light brown, and some darker brown with very dark "highlights", but Ive never seen just all dark brown.
