I saw the director talking about filming this video, and he said it was extremely hard on everyone to do this shoot. He said Dimash always did everything asked of him, no matter how difficult without ever a complaint.

The swan is a symbol of faithfulness. The connection between the love of the two partners is eternal. They are best known for their monogamy and loyalty that lasts even after the death of one of them.

As Alan Badoyev, a director of this video from Ukraine says in his interview, the clip is based on an old German legend about one-winged angels who could fly only in pairs. I think it is an allegory of a battle between love and hate, good and evil, slavery and freedom... The MV is highly philosophical - everybody can make his/her own mind. Dimash is like that - looks for his own ways to convey his views! The MV was filmed in Spain and Ukraine and was released in April 2019. Love your reaction, thanks!

I thought they were swans during a time of drought. Finally a storm & rain comes. He stayed with her throughout, until she gained strength enough to fly away together. That's love & dedication. Swans under stress lose their feathes. But I don't really know. That was my thought the first time I saw it. 🙂

One winged angels sounds like a reference to the bible when angels were cast down from heaven to the earth. One winged is just a reach as to the how though.

I also read somewhere that there is a story about demons cutting off one wing and since swans mate for life, they die after their mate does. So the premise is they have to fly together for them to have a full set of wings. I have watched this many times and yet it still slays my heart. I found your critique very informative. Thank you. Dimash is a beautiful drama actor and I would love to see him in an ancient drama being the hero martial artist fighting for his country and Emperor and his lover! smh sorry got carried away.

@LawyerLinton I don't know that I believe all fallen angels are demons. A fallen angel is one who has been cast out of heaven for a sin. That doesn't automatically make them demonic. People have spoken of angels on earth. Could this not be them? Let's not be so quick to label others. Doing so is part of this world's problem.

Hello there! :) Thank you so much for your great video! :) The music video director Alan Badoev actually explained the video back then, it's an old fairy tale popular in Russian and other post-Soviet countries, the fairy tale about the "one-winged angels". So even though the title suggests it, they are actually not swans, they are angels. So, the music video is not that directly based on the song's lyrics, on the other hand this "swans can not live apart" still makes sense in that context. So, of course most people assume that these are swans :) but it's not that directly based on the lyrics, they are angels :) The fairy tale says that the angels represent good and that they were once attacked by evil. Evil cut off their wings to break them, to break the good. One-winged angels can't fly anymore, as you need two wings to fly, but they still can fly in pairs with their partners, their loved ones. So the message of the music video is basically that love saves you from evil and that through love good wins over evil, even if it's very powerful.

I believe that this video was in a way the mythological story of Icarus. A lot of the imagery from this goes back to the God Wars. Dimash is quite the philosopher, so I think he twisted this love song around to incorporate the darkness of the battle , but in the end love Always finds a way. The sky is a good indication of time. When the jumped, the sky was dark. In happy days it was light. They died. Sad but it happens. They chose to die rather than to be enslaved.

Thank you for doing this reaction! I think what a lot of people don't realize about Dimash is that he is not only a great Singer, he is also an intellectual and Philosopher ! If you ask him what he reads and see who he quotes and such, he doesn't read entertaining novels, light fare, he reads poetry, quotes Sufi mystics, things that expects that you can navigate in the realms of symbols and archetypes. He tries his best to interpret the songs he sings, but when he does MVs, then his whole range of interpretation widens to allow room for symbols etc... making one question, think deeply and range where the audience's soul will take them...Look at the staging for Passione, Know, not the Chinese MVs, he had no control and very little input over those...But the ones he has made with Krutoy's music... So deeply symbolic and philosophical! He takes us on a journey into our souls!!!

I think it is a bit how love pulls you down and keeps you tide down and you feel drowning, but even though it is so hard you understand that you can't live without that special person. Love and passion are a force, but daily life kills it and some people can't take it, but as long as we are together we can fly away and still make it.

This song was composed by Igor Krutoy and initially written by Lara Fabian in French with the title Je T'Aime Encore. Then it was translated in Russian for Lara and had this english title Love of Tired Swans. She was thus the original performer of this russian version as well. And then Dimash made his cover.

I hope you aren't disappointed because it is rather dark and creepy ! 👍 If you liked this Style .. his Music Video to "Know" is similar and also full of Symbols .. i think it is even darker than this one! Personally i love these 2 Videos, but i read some Fans were complaining about them (too dark, too weird .. etc)

I was surprised by the different impressions left by this music video and the live version. I'm still digesting it - not sure if I love it, to be honest - but it's different, and absolutely worth understanding. I really appreciate being directed to do watch it right away, while the live version was still fresh. I may have to react to the Know MV in the future too. ;-)

I enjoy the educational dimension of your reaction videos so much, and I really enjoy your simple to understand yet very specific comments on voice registers and techniques. During my school years, we never had music classes, so my music knowledge is almost zero. However, as a scientist, I was always fascinated with how the voice of a person would transcend all barriers and boundaries (language, emotions, feelings, ...). Конечно приятный звук, конечно хочется улыбаться =) Oh, thank you for your smile at the right time=) I finally realized that I am reminded of the low notes of Dimash. It's like a cat purring. We sometimes said that about our own-the tractor started up. Of course a pleasant sound, of course you want to smile =) Режиссёр клипа иногда мне нравится, но чаще нет. Он слишком увлекается своими идеями. Часто получается клип отдельно, песня отдельно. Но иногда выходит хорошо, когда идеи не далеко расходятся. Этот клип где-то 50/50. Он то дополняет песню, то отвлекает от неё. Sometimes I like the Director of the video, but more often I don't. He gets too carried away with his ideas. Often you get a clip separately, a song separately. But sometimes it works out well when ideas don't go far apart. This clip is somewhere 50/50. It complements the song, then distracts from it.

Maybe my interpretation is wrong, but I think you are on a wrong path too.... first of all the metaphor of loving swans is a very strong one... normally a couple will stay together for their whole lifetime. Very often when one swan dies, the other one will follow soon, because of broken heart.... so the song is about breaking up a love, which was compared with the love of the swans. He is begging that she does not leave, because he can not survive... and also she would die, cause she shares the same fate.... the desert is maybe a picture for our world. It is dry, lacking love.... maybe you are up in the sky now, flying, enjoying your love... but one second later something could happen and it will struck you down, tear a wing off, crushes you down... thats live. Thats reality.... fire from heaven is very often a picture for punishment for a sinful world. And again the idea of the pure love of the swans is attacked by our ordinary emotions like lust, anger, greed, adultery etc.... the whole video shows the horrible result, when even the swans get tired and loose their purity (SORRY FOR MISTAKES, I AM GERMAN)

I think some of the swans don't have wings at all because they have to dance in a certain way. The fire is coming from a volcano, perhaps, and these dark monsters are from there, too. An underground evil creature can symbolize the darker side of human nature, cutting our wings (our higher ambitions), and that if two of us are partially crippled, we can help each other.

This music video by Dimash is imo an artistic Masterpiece with symbolism, creativity, style and beauty. From how you react I think you were too taken aback (almost bewildered) by all that was happening and what you saw as 'darkness' compared to his live performance to perhaps truly enjoy it. My advice is, watch it again and this time without stopping, and I think you could enjoy it even more. It is sensational. I don't know what is going on with this song....every time listen to it or hear a different version, it gives me all sorts of feelings.....I really love it though... I think it is kinda up to us how we interpret it, I think he doesn't want to give an answer to us.... he loves touching the soul of his listeners, and if he would be giving answers straight up then some might not relate to that....and if there is no one answer, then more people can relate to it, touch by it....I would think that is his goal..... His MVs are very interesting, it is worth checking them out.....Have you seen the MV of "Know"? (I've seen the two live comparisons of it) Again, it will give you a whole new layer of that song....^^ it is deep.....very deep.....and stunning visuals again...

The "Know" MV had an ending filmed that was different than how the MV ended, but it wasn't used. It is possibe to find the raw video that wasn't used, but you have to almost be led to it. It wasn't used because it was thought the Dears would not accept that ending, so instead the other ending was used. All I can say is I really admire Dimash's acting. I hope to see him star in an epic movie someday.

Hi Princess we unquestionably adore you too, great reaction as always. Love you and Love everything you do. This vides is a particularly a great job was full of art and symbolism. A good change to those ordinary, monotonous videos. This vid is quite metaphorical, and spiritual too but it doesn’t take away the beautiful scenery and work of the people who worked in and behind this indeed. I’m going to say Dimash looks so fierce 😍 BTW I think the committed suicide and this act free them from the suffering on earth to be happy flaying in heaven this is what I think the end is.

I think I got it. Im sure - all of this was symbolic representation of romantic relationship. Love gifts all of us with the wings. But not everyone can save his or her wings. The dark Someone with tha lightsaber - personification of all this destructive shit stuf: jealousy, anger, scandals, disrespect, cheats etc. And look at the world - postapocalypse. No dubt, its the symbol of crumbling relationship. So, Dimashes falcetto definitely can repair such thing :)
