God, the fact that he is literally the exact opposite of his character means he is a terrific actor. He seems like such a warm, kindhearted guy who wouldn't hurt a fly. And yet he could take on such a dark and awful character and make it extremely believable.

Any time an actor can make their character so hate-able that you wanna jump in the screen and beat the living crap out of them shows you how incredible of an actor they are. Especially when the character is so different from their off-screen personality. Well done Mr. Tucci!

Well...I think that he was more detached from the deaths of the children in the Hunger Games and he played a happier, more upbeat role in the movie. In this one, he is the murderer, the pervert, the rapist. Plus, this movie seems almost darker than the Hunger Games is because this is so real: everything in this movie can happen right now.

Oh my God!! I just watched Lovely Bones about two weeks ago. Today I read Stanley was in it and I couldn't remember seeing him it so I got on KZfaq and put his and the movies name in the search box and wa-la here I am. My mouth dropped when I saw who he played and it all came back to me. I have been a fan of Stanley's for years and didn't realize it was him. He nailed the character! So opposite of who he is. WOW! Just goes to show what an extraordinary actor he is. Even tho he gave me nightmares for a few nights I must say, "Great job Stanley!!!"

When I first picked 'The Lovely Bones' book to read...it took me forever because I kept having to put it down and give my mind and heart time to recoup. When I saw the trailer for the movie and saw Stanely as the character George, I felt my stomach drop. Such a horrible, evil character. But Stanley has always been such a warm face in his movies that seeing him as that dark character gave me the chills. I love the movie. I can't watch it often though because of how heavy the subject matter is. But he did absolutely brilliant in it. You forget it's him at moments. I can completely understand how difficult it had to have been for him to portray George.

It seems weird that you hear about people who played villains in movies where they're actually great people in real life, yet then you hear about people who play protagonists who were said to be pricks in real life. that's really odd. i guess one example might of the old 1992 Diggstown where the protagonist played by James Woods may be an asshole in real life while the villain played by Bruce Dern may be a chill guy in real life.
