Dead see is so underrated. It is one of the best songs they hace ever made and most people do not notice it.

I love the simplicity of their music. Simple yet powerful. Most mainstream music these days doesn't have the soul that these guys (and girl) put into it. Some of the best music I've heard in a long time! It's just real.

Cracks me up when people like this DJ find Ho Hey to be a really joyful song. Listen to the lyrics outside the music, it's really heartbreaking, the story of a man's love who is gone and with someone else.

Great job KEXP, this band is awesome! I can't believe I didn't know of this station while I was in Seattle back in August and again in early October. I did find the Tractor Tavern and some great Texas music there (Band of Heathens and the Departed). I will add this station to my phone, where I usually listen to KNBT - a great Texas/Americana station.

What a great group. Love your minimalist approach and phenomenal dynamics. You've got a fantastic sound. Sweet, but not saccharine. very cool, not at all pretentious. You guys are awesome.

Also, I love how they mentioned going to Vancouver - my home. I'd listened to them for months on KZfaq and KEXP and was going to be in Seattle the weekend of their Neumos show but couldn't go, so I'd grabbed tix for the show at home and was one of a whole bunch of happy peeps stuffed into the room like sardines - and then saw them again at the CHBP in the summer. My only regret about their popularity is that the cursed scalpers have discovered them. I couldn't see them their last show here :(

Neyla has a fantastic and beautiful voice, and if you listen carefully to most choruses/refrains you can hear her. She was in an a capella women's group before meeting Wes and Jer and they won some awards. She also worked as a music teacher. :)

Whenever people say music is dead I scream laziness. It might not be thrown at you like Zeppelin was in the 70's or the Doors in the 60's (or fill in your own band who topped charts but didn't suck) but with a little elbow grease you can find amazing music like these guys.
