I`m a retired strathclyde police officer most of the cops in police scotland today would not during my service have made it through their 2 yr probation they may seem up to standard shiny and with the right liberal attitude by inexperienced (never carried out any police duties) token woke police bosses but I am ashamed of the standards of officers in Police scotland today.

And then the Police wonder why the public don't have any respect for them. Shame on them...

Im in Edinburgh and disgusted with this........they cant turn up when it matters........not worth the paperwork for a poor old guys shed being robbed and trashed.........but Police Scotland and SNP double up every livery on Ambulances, police cars, vans.....in Gaelic....ffs.

Peter is so accurate. As a retired middle ranking police officer I am disgusted, angry and despondent at how we are policed. The Police College must take responsibility for the😅 decline and lack of trust in the police. The wearing of rainbow cap bands and other paraphernalia is an insult to the Crown uniform officers wear. I am ashamed and embarrassed at the conduct of the police.

It's probably because this year in Scotland, the numbers attending these parades have significantly reduced. Give it another 2 years or so and it will probably be only policepeople attending. Strange world we live in.

Northumbria police now have these ridiculous rainbow colours on some of their vehicles I suspect the true cause is that a vast number of homosexuals and lesbians are now in the job , especially at senior level.

A close to retiring police sergeant told me fifty years ago. That the higher essilon of the force was being taken over by university educated officers that had never done service. They were fast tracked to higher levels. While time served, officers were ignored. We have got the results now.

Scotland doesn't feel like home any more. Being Scottish used to be something to be proud of, or at least it felt that way to me.

I gave up with them twenty years ago. Had a kid smash the windscreen on my car which was witnessed by the neighbour and a month later I called the police because they never got back to me and the policeman said "We left a statement with him to fill out but we haven't had time to pick it up. Could you pick it up and drop it into us" !. I Told him where to go and stop wasting my time and never bothered with them since also have had three speeding tickets since which I have ignored and got away with so there is an upside to their incompetence.

I live in Scotland and I find this latest nonsense from the Scottish Police highly offensive😡🤦‍♂️

As a gay man it makes me vomit to see the police with pride flags

2 in every 5 are leaving the service because of this woke attitude.

What cost to the public to paint all their cars with rainbow colours, total disgrace.

It feels like I'm living in a madhouse such is modern Scotland where nothing works anymore.

Why are the people that arrange these marches, protests, festivals and carnivals not being forced to pay for the police to cover them. The same with the clean up of these events, why is the taxpayer always covering the costs. If you want to hold a March, protest, festival or carnival then you should be&priced to cover the cost of policing it, in advance with a large deposit, and if it works out to cost more then you pay it also. The same with the clean up of these events, you have to give the local councils a large deposit to cover the cleanup, and again if it costs more then to have to payout to cover that extra cost. Police service, the same as the fire service, ambulance service vehicles should be run by a central procurement centre. In which all vehicles, kit etc… is bought by then *oven out to different parts of the uk. They is no need to have each service in different parts of the country to buy for themselves. For a start it costs a lot more taxpayers money. If these services had a procurement centre then it would save the taxpayers millions every year. For example the procurement centre could put out a tender for vehicles to the vehicle manufacturers, to last 4 to 5 years. Vehicle manufacturers would jump at the chance to provide vehicles to the police service for the whole country. The cost of each vehicle would be a lot cheaper as they are buying so many, maintenance could and would be covered by the manufacturer’s dealerships again saving money. Kit needed could be done in the same way. If it’s ok for the armed forces to have a procurement department, which covers the army, navy and air force. Then it also ok for the police, fire brigade, ambulance service to have the same. Then we the tax payers would save money, and would not have to put up with the woke police turning a vehicle into a rainbow bus for a section on of society, which then makes the rest of society feel the police don’t care about them.
