How can one's voice be so apt for Lovecraft books and soothing to listen to. I usually drift asleep midway through and have to start from the beginning again. Rinse and repeat. I love this channel.

My father and I have fallen off doing this, but he would get himself an audiobook, finish it, then offer it to me. And I would get myself an audiobook, finish it, then offer it to my father. And sometimes on the weekends father would be driving me around whereas he would ask me if I wouldn't mind if he turned on his latest audiobook. This channel reminds me of those days. Thank you for the voiceover entertainment you've given me, The Exploring Series and SCP.

I just wanted to suggest that you should get around to doing The Mound at some point if you can please. You are far and away the best narrator for the works of H P Lovecraft. I have listened to everything you have done of his multiple times now, and I only discovered this channel a little over a month ago. Keep up the amazing work sir.

So I never wanted to read lovecraft because I learned he was racist and said he didn't want blacks reading his books I don't know how true that is but I acted as if it is but I've listened to every scp vid you made even the war hammer and final fantasy vids cause I enjoy your reads and summary so much I'll happily listen thank you sir there has been many work shifts made ez from your narrations I only hope you keep loading content even if it's less scp stuff you have a talent for story telling

The catskill region and indeed the entire greater state of NewYork at this time must have been phenomenally lax in their duties, to have never approached our narrator with questions after three of his known associates visited the area with him and failed to return. Did Munroe's paper seriously make no report of one of their staff failing to come back from an assignment to cover a massacre? Would they have not told NYS troopers where he'd gone, and would those officers not have inquired of other reporters who left the scene early, but could have confirmed he was there? Could the local hotel not then have mentioned that the lost newsman had been seen having intense conversation with a man who'd been in this area before, asking questions about similar incidents?

Jan is pronounced kinda like “yun” and Martens is more like the common name “Martin”. Though I’m surprised it isn’t spelled “Maartens” which would be the typical Dutch spelling, and would sound more like “marr-tense”
