Man, you're so damn good at what you do! There's enough background info for the uninitiated but with very compelling and obscure stories for those of us who like to geek out on this type of history. Also, congrats on your subscribers growing steadily - couldn't happen to a more deserving channel.

What a story! How scary all these guys were man. Great walk 'n talk as always. I actually don't recall hearing about Burt Kaplan & I'm pretty sure I'd never heard of Israel Greenwald either so very cool to fill in those blanks. Love the way you tell these stories to interconnect these guys & then even bringing in other guys that were connected to them also. There's sooooo many of these fuckers that it's hard for me to keep up sometimes. They're like roaches!🤣But, the way you've been presenting them & these incidents, it helps me to remember these dudes & also refreshes my memory. Love that you always include the visuals too. 👍

Hey NYC. Great video as always. I may have had a run in with Ippolito when he worked at the 63rd precinct. I’m not quite sure but he may have been a detective there at one time back in 1987. I could be wrong but there was a detective there at that time who looked just like him. If it was him, believe it or not, he saved me from being arrested.

@@nyccrimespot Yeah I figured it was him. He was in my house as well. My mom got into an argument with him. She put him in his place. Long story short, I was a victim of a robbery back then in front of my house and had a pistol permit at the time and fired three shots at the guy as he was running away. Well apparently you can’t shoot at a suspect while he’s fleeing so Ippolito came up with the perfect story snd because of that no charges were filed against me. But they did have to voucher my gun for six months at Brooklyn Property.

Eppolito wrote a book called Mafia Cops and their a pictures of him in it when he worked in the 63 Pct. He also played a small part In Goodfellas and was on talk shows. That’s how he got caught. Jimmy Hydell’s mother saw him on a talk show and recognized him when he showed up at her house looking for her son. He loved the spotlight.

What I can't figure out is if he cashed this bond in Europe then how did the FBI find the bond on him when he returned to the USA? I have never cashed a bond and an not even sure what one is but I am guessing a bit like a money order so it would be exchanged for cash and you won't have the original although I suppose that you might get a receipt but you could throw that away.
@nyccrimespot
@nyccrimespot 11 ай бұрын
So from what i imagine, he cashed the bond which was more than likely already reported stolen. The feds must of had a database or something that alerted them when these stolen bonds were cashed. They get a notice and then contact the establishment where it was cashed and then obtain the identification of who cashed it.
