To shift both vertical and horizontal simultaneously, you have to use it on a mirrorless camera in conjunction with a shift adapter. Shift the lens itself for the horizontal direction and the adapter for the vertical direction.

@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo the one I have got is from Fotodiox but Kipon also makes one. There are tilt-shift adapters as well. However, you should be aware of the size of the image circle your lens is capable of achieving. If you shift both horizontal and vertical by 11mm you might see vignetting, but this is different from lens to lens so you have to explore yourself.

Thanks! It was an RF Lens so for my EOSR it didn't need the adapter.

Well, just got my lens after testing it it is so soft compared to my Sony lens. I’m thinking of returning it since I can only use it for one type of job 😢

Anyone know how to get this to work with a Fuji X mount? Now you have me wondering how I can adapt this for my Fuji xt3. I currently use a Laowa 9mm No-distortion lens and it is all I need for RE photos… but this lens is a game-changer. You’re giving so much value to people with your videos, I just want to say thank you. Your Lightroom transform tool video took my work to the next level!! I’ve considered getting a GFX 50 or even 100 for real estate but I don’t do quite enough yet to justify the $10k switch for body+lenses.

I'm not sure if you can! Would be cheaper to just get a different camera if you aren't tied to Fuji lol. The lens (or a used canon lens) + EOSR from this video would be close to 2500 total. Pretty crazy!

Hey man, you make a lot of great content on gear and quality. Can you please start making videos on the business aspect of this business? Lead generation, operations, softwares for efficiency, etc.? In my opinion, those are the videos that really add value, as real estate photo and video is pretty much the same framework every shoot.

Thanks for sharing! Thats not really my thing I'm in to so not sure if I'll do much content on that. My main strategy has always been to always do my best work, make it a great experience for the people I'm working with, find industry related things to be involved in/support and referrals / repeat clients come naturally over time. For being efficient the best thing I can recommend is to find an editor and keep things pretty simple so you can do more bookings during the day but still have your evenings & weekends to have a somewhat normal life ;)

I saw a review on the 15mm...which is a must for interiors. And unfortunately the distortion caused by the tilt is not good. But this lens is a cheap option. There are better but obviously deeper pocket versions out there.

@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo yes. The canon 17mm. BUT I'm also reading that it's not very durable. But I guess that's normal considering all that tilting and shifting. I'd like one..but my 14-35mm canon lens is wide enough to do some fake tilt shift. I don't mind the odd "guided" correction in Lightroom.

Kind of surprising to hear you say you had to fix the verticals. Just keep camera back vertical. (And use a wide angle lens) then all you have to do is crop. As far as perspective correction goes, multiple shots using diagonal shift. Both Laowa and Rogeti make gear that allows you to do this very very precisely. You should check out the Cambo Actus. Even if you don’t get one checking it out will open doors to how to think about shift tilt work.

Very cool! Thanks for checking out the video. Don't you think it's a bit different being able to get more how you want it in camera vs shooting extra wide + cropping though? Some main benefits I'd see are being able to show some more "finished" results to clients on-site, more creative possibilities etc.

@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo oh yes. I do. Extra wide is a hassle. Tho much better than adding shift in post. I use GFX with Pentax 645 gear as well as some canon TSE. Most useful for exterior work in towns is Pentax 645 35mm. A superb lens for $500. Their 75mm is every bit as good as the GF 45-100 at its 75mm mark, possibly better. Best of luck! GFX 50S II and Pentax 645 tilt shift adapters makes a digital view camera. For little $

Seems nice as long as you get the manual focus right. I’m sure someone else has done some of the chart tests if that’s what you’re looking for though.
