In this video, I show a demonstration of what the Champ Vario can do within the dry ice energy blasting segment. The Champ Turbo impresses with its ability to clean in continuous operation and the use of Dry Ice Energy Power Pellets and abrasive blasting media. This makes it easy to remove extremely stubborn dirt and adhesions as well as paint stripping!

I do enjoy watching a time-lapse undercarriage cleaning but I think you would have to be a very high-volume shop to make this feasible

Thanks for coming in and checking out the dry ice blasting. I have a love/hate relationship with Dry Ice Blasting. It's fun, satisfying, and works well on many surfaces. IF you plan on doing complete undercarriage or suspension cleaning, be prepared, it's very messy. It will also reduce interior detailing time by at least 30%. Our shop doesn't have many interiors, but this would be a must-have for a dealership or auction house detailer. We have seen great success for individuals who want to start another division of their business (even mobile). The bring-a-trailer type cars are in love with this cleaning; we have been approached by a few high-end dealers and wholesalers who want the complete undercarriage done. We have done a few but ultimately stopped until we have a dedicated space for this type of work. Great video Brian.

I have never used dry ice detailing but it looks very cool. I have used dry ice working in grocery stores when the power goes out and we would put a bag in every third door of the freezer. This stuff is messy and yes it is so cold. In my opinion this technology is best used in restoration projects with a large budget. The equipment is expensive and so is the dry ice.

Very interesting video. I like the idea of Dry Ice Blasting but for a big shop like yours it would be worth it. I know your system is working great so you probably don’t need to invest in that. Thanks Brian 👊🏼

The air around you will be filled with micro and nano-particles for hours afterwards, wear a quality respirator to protect your lungs and if possible provide for safe extraction and exhaust.

Cool technology no pund intended lol. However the only place that this would be productive in a detail shop is to offer undercarriage cleaning. Am I wrong in assuming this?

What's the point if this in the engine compartment? Any degreaser and pressure washer will be quicker and cheaper. The warning says not to use it but as long as you don't go full blast into connectors and electronics, it's fine. It doesn't say, don't use dry ice because it's a new process. And for tar on the fender, a towel with wax and grease remover wiped off in 5 seconds. Why remove undercoating anyway? Sounds like it's just a new toy

Sorry to say totally waist of money. It is very difficult to manage dry ice. I just can't see this implication around my shop. It might be handy to restoration shop where complete stripping is needed. Very minimal mess. Plus, it is so cold it might crack clear coat. Dry ice temperature is about minus 110F.

You would have to do a s*** ton of freaking work with one of them that justify the money of the machine itself let alone what the dry ice cost, I feel old school detailing and using a steamer is far more Superior than this crap this is for high-end freaking guys who have money and they don't know what to do with it it's cool and all but it's not that damn cool I mean six grand dammmmmmm
