10 жыл бұрын

Andrew Bennett began his career as Ross Perot's personal assistant, and for over three decades he has been a leadership consultant and coach to organizations of all shapes and sizes around the world. A member of The Magic Circle, the oldest and most prestigious society of magicians in the world, Bennett uses magic to enable leaders to simplify and accelerate organizational transformation.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

As an announcer at a radio station for 37 years, I've made a living of choosing my words carefully. Speaking from firsthand experience, it's paid off. What we speak IS what we create.

Great speech. Echoing several thousand year old knowledge. (In the beginning of the Book of Genesis, we read that God spoke the world into existence.) And since the Bible says we are created in God's image, we can create by speaking as well. Love the abracadabra! Going to pass this speech on to the people I know. Thank you!

@@queenelizabethiii1616 maybe, also what I am waking up to is something I had drilled into my head as a young man is about %'s of HUMANS that for instance would own their own business, be capable of knocking on doors to sell something effectively & those that are better workers. In this a number seems to run through that works out to about 2-3%. So no matter how many HUMANS that would see this say for the title only a small % would actruly watch it like say you or I. I already knew the power of words & was raised up being told you create your reality or you only will get what you picture etc. etc. Even though I was told this mostly by my father & mother my whole life while they were around [which was relatively short] they never explained the mechanics behind these perspectives. I since have learned them mostly, but my blind faith believing them because they were mom& dad was enough to cause me to apply what they told me & also to follow others that shared the same ideas. Ok, ran my mouth enough & will close with "those that have the ears to hear & eyes to see..." WeSAveUs AlwaysForward~Godspeed

17:17 Abra-cadabra Action steps: 1. Be aware: Are your words positive and creative or negative and limiting? 2. Monitor your internal language, as well as your external language. 3. Make a quick shift by saying "Abra-Cadabra!" 4. When you see results that aren't what you want, do an examination and consider if your words, your pattern, are getting in the way. 5. Journal, vividly write about the future you're trying to create until it makes you smile. 6. Choose your words carefully.

The word grimoire, a book of magic, comes from the root of the word grammar. The Scottish word glamour originally meant a magic spell to make people see something more enticing than what is. It also comes from the same root as grammar. "Spell" in spellcasting means to spell. The roots of actual magic (psychology, propaganda, the placebo/nocebo effect) is rooted in words.

I sing Steve Miller Band's Song Abracadabra. Depending on the audience I change a few key words. If I sing the original lyrics of the song: Abracadabra I want to reach out and grab ya! That could come across in a rude way with the wrong audience. To clean it up, I change the lyrics: Abracadabra My Love will reach out and grab ya. Cleans it up just a bit. Instead of I want to reach out and fondle you, cleans it up a bit with My love will reach out and grab ya in the sense of my love will strike and affect you in a positive way. Too much information? True little story about a song. Abracadabra. Steve Miller Band.

You truly are a magician--I'm amazed at the spontaneous reaction I am having to your video. You have organised my attitude by saying words that evoke intention ; the belief system that has for so long confused and corrupted my personal progress has been drifting, for some time, slowly into obsolescence . The belief system, I think, is the nonsense drifting around in our heads that seems to contradict and oppose freedom of individual thinking . If... when i awake in the morning i'm oblivious to the sensation i speak of.... i will understand! But some how , i feel good about this one. I will leave an extra comment just in case any one is interested. Thanks for the best video i have seen in a long time.

Fantastic talk! Your message is so important for people to hear. One simple word can be a powerful reset or persepctive shift. Thank you! It was also something I needed to be reminded of today. My talk on the energy of thought touches upon the same thing. Our language has an energy and impacts not only us but those around us. If someone is going through a very difficult time- it doesn't mean to say things are great but one simple shift in intensity of the words can help the situation be more managable. Go from devastating to problematic to a challenge. reducing the intensity doesn't make it easy- but easier to move through the situation.

We were created in His image meaning just like the Father we are a speaking spirit and our words have creative power attached to them and they come in agreement either with life or death blessings or curses. The power of words is derived from the bible science and every other religion is just catching up.

I heard Avra Kadavra (Abra Cadabra) was actually Hebrew meaning I will create as I speak. Ab (Father) Ben (Son) and Ruach Acadosch (Holy Spirit). It is a different meaning and outcome when create is put before speak. It has to do with the inner dialogue, the inner voice versus the externally expressed words. Regardless of order this video is a fun little introduction to a deep and profound truth.

In Aramaic it's "Avra Kadavra" (not abracadabra) meaning "It will be created in my words" great speech though!

AVADA KEDAVRA- I means "I destroy as I speak", contrary to the Aramaic word abracadabra, which means,"I create as I speak".

Before you shoot yr mouth to say it's NOT "Abra Cadabra" as if you are more intelligent with yr sudden discovery, you need to QUIETLY Understand that in English there is a literary rule to Anglicise all the "V" sounds of Hebrew or Aramaic with "B" sounds. E.g. In Hebrew, the Hebrew word-concept "AVRAHAM" is written as "ABRAHAM" in Every English Bible. "AVIV" is written as "ABIB" in your English bible. Same for The Aramaic "AVRA KADAVRA or CADAVRA". It becomes "ABRA CADABRA". Voile. There you have it. Problem solved.

@@TheDRIConsultant ..... and in the other Semitic language, Arabic, there is no 'v' or 'p' so a 'B' is substituted for them. Example Pepsi is Bebsi. Trump is Trumb. Tel Aviv is Tel Abib.

“What you speak, you create”. Good morning=Good Mourning. And a million more curses through spelling!! There is a reason that New Mexico isn’t teaching “cursive spelling “ anymore. Only print writing. Praise Thy God Almighty!!!!!
